Vannes is not the easiest place to park a car, so the large car park that La Marabauière has is a real bonus. Staff were all very friendly and helpful (Valerie, Julie & Helen). The breakfast comprised a wide range of both continental & cooked items - very satisfying. We had booked a Comfort Double room, which turned out to be a bit on the small side in terms of storage space for the clothes that we had brought for our 5-night stay. We managed to compromise, but very helpul staff did show us the size of a family room which we noted for future reference,

Our bathroom was not great for my husband who has some mobility issues. To be fair, we had booked a garden room with shower but the Hotel notified us , a week before our trip, that they only had a garden room with a bath. I chose to go with that option.There were no rails to hold on to and the toilet was on a narrow raised platform, all making it more difficult for my husband.

Excellent parking facility. The breakfast was delicious.

I received a number of fake emails apparently from the hotel before arrival. These turned out to be spam. I realise this is not the fault of the hotel. Otherwise no issues.

The hotel is a shortish walk from the town centre. There is ample free parking. The room was comfortable and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was relaxed. Also I received a 30 minute free sauna.

The rooms were clean but a bit outdated (the rest of the hotel is nicely renovated). But it didn‘t really matter, as it was still cozy, and I liked that the bathroom had a proper door. One thing I really did not like so much was the breakfast… Based on all the positive reviews I thought it would be a very good breakfast. But they had absolutely no fresh vegetables, not even cucumber or tomato. The egg scramble that is served is cooked with starch or something similar, it tastes a bit slimy/doughy… maybe the chef needs a new recipe. The bacon was grey already and had a weird taste. Even the warm potatoes tasted weird and so mashy as if they had been there 2 days. Everything in the „warm“ station just tasted old and was prepared a bit loveless. To prove that I am not just a whiny person I will say that the mini croissants were great and the yoghurt as well! If they changed the recipe for scrambled eggs, offered fresher/crispier bacon, and had some freshly cut up vegetables (or at least put them there so that people can cut them themselves) the breakfast would be good!

Great location, short walk to the center, and good restaurants even 3 minutes walking! I tried the spa and it was so nice and renovated, truly relaxing. I also loved that they offered to rent bicycles and even a helmet, I used it quite a lot. That was also the reason I chose this hotel, and it worked out really well! Also really comfy bed and bedding in general. Plus all the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times!

Great location for a few days visit of Vannes. Very friendly staff, the hotel was clean and well prepared. The lady that ran the breakfast room was lovely, she made sure that the breakfast was perfect. This lady really made our stay in Vannes very memorable.

We cannot think of anything that we didn't like

We saw that there was free parking for guests which was very good, although we did not arrive by car on this occasion. It was reassuring to know that there would be someone available at reception 24h. We were also happy with the amount of information given to us about the local area, restaurants etc, & the staff were very welcoming.
