Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomSound proofing wasn’t great, we were located in room 1 which seemed to mean everyone staying there walked past our room and was noticed in the mornings and when people are coming back at night.
Excellent location. Walk out the front door and you’re right in the center and a very short walk to the marina. Also close to the port for when we arrived so didn’t need a taxi.

The location is amazing, and the staff was great. The room and bed were spacious. For the price it was a great option.

The room has everything you need: a big and comortable bad, a nice bathroom and a proper wardrobe. The staf is very friendly and helpful. The location is optimal if you want to go around walking.

United KingdomThe breakfast was a bit expensive but that's St. Tropez. Whilst I liked the breakfast my partner didn't. The coffee wasn't good and the croissants could have been a bit crisper.
Hotel Playa was very close to the harbour which is the focus of the town, The hotel was very clean and the room was very comfortable. the air conditioning worked well. The reception was attended all the time. I call the hotel a "nearly hotel" because it was nearly a great hotel. Little things let it down, for example, the breakfast room is a main feature and is a prominent picture in their showcasing of the hotel yet it is very underused. We had breakfast in it one day and we were the only people using it and there was little or no evidence to suggest that others had used it that morning. We met several reception attendants during our short stay, all were lovely, but one was slightly negative. However, I must stress that I found Hotel Playa to be very good indeed, especially for St Tropez. It is now my hotel of choice for that town. I noticed it on a previous visit and am not disappointed
