The bed was a bit uncomfortable. I kept having issues with the wifi— I had your switch networks multiple times a day depending on the time.

The location is amazing, and the staff was great. The room and bed were spacious. For the price it was a great option.

I had trouble with my phone internet connection and the Wi-Fi in the hotel wasn't really working.

The room has everything you need: a big and comortable bad, a nice bathroom and a proper wardrobe. The staf is very friendly and helpful. The location is optimal if you want to go around walking.

Breakfast room is not what it looks like on the pictures. Renovation was ongoing when we were there. They didn’t serve full breakfast menu.

The breakfast was a bit expensive but that's St. Tropez. Whilst I liked the breakfast my partner didn't. The coffee wasn't good and the croissants could have been a bit crisper.

Hotel Playa was very close to the harbour which is the focus of the town, The hotel was very clean and the room was very comfortable. the air conditioning worked well. The reception was attended all the time. I call the hotel a "nearly hotel" because it was nearly a great hotel. Little things let it down, for example, the breakfast room is a main feature and is a prominent picture in their showcasing of the hotel yet it is very underused. We had breakfast in it one day and we were the only people using it and there was little or no evidence to suggest that others had used it that morning. We met several reception attendants during our short stay, all were lovely, but one was slightly negative. However, I must stress that I found Hotel Playa to be very good indeed, especially for St Tropez. It is now my hotel of choice for that town. I noticed it on a previous visit and am not disappointed

Location of the hotel is fantastic. It is right in the centre of the town so you are getting exceptional value for your money. The staff are very friendly. Amenities/the room are a little dated but the location and experience of the hotel are perfect.

The room was charming and clean, with lots of room for hanging clothes. The staff could not have been nicer and even let me leave my luggage at the desk after checkout. The location was so convenient - I came by ferry and it was only a short walk from the port to the hôtel.

Unfortunately the first night the smoking alarm started to ring at 4.30 am for about 10minutes, waking us up. We had very hard time going back to sleep we were scared because people were drunk and nobody explained us what was going on… at 6.15am the alarm rang again. Later that day the reception explained us it was due to drunk girls celebrating something.

(1) There wasn’t an elevator on the property and that was not made clear on the booking page. I had a very heavy suitcase with me… I ended up having to unpack it downstairs and carry multiple loads of items from it up 4 or 5 flights of stairs. (2) The bathroom smelled slightly like sewer, even though it had been cleaned. It was a horrible smell. If you close the door, the rest of the room did not smell but the bathroom did. I used a lot of air freshener spray in the bathroom. Because of the bathroom smell, I will not be staying here again but if you are looking for a budget friendly option in a high end area that is clean with helpful/nice staff, this could be a really good option.

The property was right in the heart of where I needed to be, it was also very close walking distance to everything needed. The property was clean and on the small side so there was not a lot of people or foot traffic. It was also quiet. The air conditioner was very effective and very quiet at the same time.
