Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe Air conditioning was awful, genuinely awful. It was 25 degrees and sleeping at night was impossible. I wasn’t feeling well which made it even worse - The air conditioning simply doesn’t work. I seen a lot of reviews saying the same, so i’m surprised it hasn’t been fixed.
The staff were amazing and kind, Robby on the front desk is the best. Great location and so close to the Metro!

Small space but we didn't have much luggage so it was good. Location was very good cause the metro was right in front of the hotel and that was a must for us. Staff was friendly and they had a storage for our luggage to be kept even after we checked out. Since we had a couple hours before we had to go to the airport.

ItalySometimes, some services in B&B hotels are far from expected, for example, despite the significant price difference in Paris compared to Milan, I personally had a better experience from this complex in Milan.
I like the general organization in B&Bs which let the travelers experience a nice stay with a normal price in variable locations

RussiaAir conditioning. It was +40 during our stay in Paris, quite hot, while the conditioning was quite poor. Though our French friends explained later it’s not the hotel issue, but rather an overall French issue 😁 Also, the room didn’t have a fridge, keep that in mind, we didn’t manage to keep the water cool. But the staff were helpful and always ready to provide some ice which was so nice!
Nice room exactly as described on the pics - nothing less, nothing extra. Nice breakfast for 12 eur, helpful staff, metro 1 min away + some shops and restaurants nearby! We stayed for 5 days and were quite happy about it. And there’s a lovely and quite a large park nearby, lots of birds walking around freely, good to have a picnic!

We asked for an extra, one was provided, but then for some reason was taken away before our last night. Don't know why that would be!

The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and the metro is literally outside the front door of the hotel.
