Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandThe room was quite old and run-down. Screws fell out of door to balcony, the cupboard door to fridge was rubbing on floor, the plug in the bath was faulty, the lights in the bathroom, one was not working and the other flickered all the time. The shower rose was over bath but you had to hold it.
The location was excellent, really easy to get to the Metro and Roissey Airport Bus, felt very central and easy to get anywhere in Paris. The bed was really comfortable and large.

The same member of staff tried to charge for breakfasts and city tax when we checked out despite having already paid for when we first arrived. No humility was shown when the facts were established. He was the only experience we had of the superior Parisian reputation in all our time in the Capital

United StatesThe room is definitely not spacious, but it's great if you're not planning to spend a lot of time in your room. Which, while you're in Paris, I can't see why you would want to spend a lot of time inside a hotel!
it was located in a great spot -- about a 30 minute walk from the central tourist district (Louvre, etc.) in one direction and same distance from Montmartre in the other direction. Shopping and restaurant options around the hotel were good. Safe place. Dark curtains kept it dark for sleeping. Big cabinets for storing clothes, luggage, etc. Fridge. Wifi. The Mezzencore restaurant across the street had amazing schwarma and falafel, and Cafe Zephyr had great hot chocolate.

United KingdomNothing really, good for a touristy stay in Paris due to excellent cetnral location. A minor comment would be that there were only French TV channels....
Clean room on the smaller site but definitely acceptable/ normal for central Paris - room 324 has a superb view of Sacre Coeur and a generous bathroom. All major sites are within a 20-30 min walk. Friendly helpful staff. Felt safe in the evenings in slightly busy area of Paris due to the locked entrance gate.

United KingdomThe corridor décor was a bit tired. One of the great things about this hotel is its location, however, on such a busy road with traffic, bars and restaurants, the windows absolutely need to be better soundproofed. Saturday and Sunday nights were very noisy outside and Saturday in particular it did not quieten down until 2am. I would like to return to this hotel on future trips with other family members, but won't be able to because I know they won't be able to sleep through the noise, which is a real shame.
The room was cosy and we liked the wood panelled effect. The bathroom was large and stylish. The beds were very comfortable. The location was excellent and we walked almost everywhere we wanted to go to. Nice room temperature.

Everything was great. Location near all the Metro trains and busses to get you to any landmark or activities you may want to embark on. The on site breakfast is good. I prefer to pay daily in casr you sleep in you won't be charged for days you didn't eat.

The hotel is well located, closed to metro station, but also 10 minutes walk to the center. The area is surrounded with restaurant and places to eat. Wireless very good, international breakfast of good quality.

The hotel is quite old but very clean. The location is great. I will suggest to get the bigger room, because the standard one is quite small. But if you only use it for sleeping, no problem. Staff are also helpful. We stayed in the middle of summer and it was quite hot. The air cond in our room is not working but the staff immediately move us to another room when we notify them. I will recommend the hotel.
