Our floor needed refurbishment. Carpets in corridors and our room were stained and bathroom fittings, though clean, were looking a bit greyish. Better lighting in the rooms over the main mirror would be good.

Location is excellent, in the city centre, a few minutes walk from the cathedral. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was very good - great range of food, including local produce. Rooms were comfortable.

The first receptionist we met was very abrupt. The lack of lifts to the car park and Room is always busy.

Large parking garage underground with variety of exits and elevators, but somewhat confusing how to get to Hotel Reception. It would be helpful to have more signs leading to Hotel, especially in the inner court yard. Lots of noise/fights in the inner court yard throughout the night, not mentioning the church bells. Since window wasn't sealed properly, it was too loud to get restful sleep (didn't see it until last day). Paint peeling of the window frame. Breakfast buffet was ok, yet limited, expected more daily variety of breads, meats, cheeses, fish, etc. Mix-matched chairs in restaurant are very uncomfortable. The premises in and around the Hotel are not well kept, front main entrance is not very inviting. Reception staff not very knowledgeable about Metz; were not aware and had no current basic info about markets, local events and transportation

Uncomfortable, broken mattress. The room is not soundproofed, so you can hear the noise from the street at night, so we didn't get much sleep. The interior of the room recalls times 20 years ago. Low-quality toilet paper, lack of toilet brush

3 stars maybe on a good day, but..never a 4 star, in my opinion. Many things were a bit off: when we arrived at the hotel (15.20, when check-in starts at 15), the room wasn't ready. Annoying after 5h of driving.. not even sorry at the reception, not an effort to compensate anyway (even with a drink while waiting etc., which is a minimum since it's their mistake).. after waiting in a lobby for 25min we got to the room. The room itself was outdated, sink wasn't flushing properly, toilet was a closet from 1982 with 1-ply rough toiletpaper-wannabe. 4 stars? I think not..dirty as well.

Breakfast was ok, some things were illogically placed, lacked fresh berries/vegetables..ok, but not 4-star standard. Location was good, no getting away from that! Common areas were ok as well, staff mostly friendly.

Good location in the centre, easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, Cafes and Bars as well as for sightseeing. Sita above a chopping centre which is good and of course it has an outdoor swimming pool.

Nice an clean hotel in the middle of Metz. Downtown shopping and cathedral were very close.

1) Large (10cm) brown stain on the carpeting by the desk/TV 2) Fan had been turned on in the room, but AC was off, which meant that with 20C outside, it was warm oin the room. Adding to that, the quilt in the bed was thick enough it added to the discomfort. We eventally figured out how to turn the AC on, and removed the quilt to only keep its sleeve, but then the AC/Fan was loud enough to not provide a restful sleep. 3) Overall dated building, popcorn walls in room.

Central location right in the downtown of Metz and near large squares with restaurants and terrasses. The breakfast was nice, with a large selection of breakfast types, including fresh croissants, coldcuts, eggs, bacon and sausages.
