Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomUncomfortable metal chairs in the dining room which would be more suited to a motorway cafe. The breakfast needs more healthy cereal and fruit/compote options. A suggestion - The breakfast layout needs adjusting, for example there could be plates near the bread and larger bowls near the yoghurt and fromage frais. Everyone is walking around looking for the components they want. The bath is DANGEROUS! An older person could easily slip and fall getting in or especially out. If you’re having a bath it takes 20 minutes to fill and is really small, and the taps are hard to reach unless you are actually in the bath. If you don’t want people to use take baths, why not put in a nice big shower.
Beautiful setting and a it makes a change to have a hotel with many rooms that is on just two floors not in a tower block. Comfortable large bed. Spacious place perfect for Chantilly. Pool and spa facilities good for a weekend break.

Hong KongThe carpark was some distance away from the hotel rooms. The hotel grounds are quite shabby , not manicured as you would expect in such an ideal setting. The grass in the area around the hotel was quite long and full of weeds. By comparison, the golf course looked well cared for. Btw, I’m from Australia, not HongKong as recorded by Booking.com
We were allocated a large room on the top floor with a view over the pool and golf course. The room and bathroom were very clean. We dined in the dining room which has a lovely view of the golf course. The food and service were excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast was also good. Staff were polite and friendly.

United Kingdomwell kept, good furnishings
good locations, spacious, good rooms, there is still a on going problem in that they have taken off my debit card £693.46 at booking in, and when I vacated on the last day, paid my bill in full £827.27 including taxes, but they have not repaid the £693,46 that they took when I booked in, and I’m still waiting, so I’m going to have to contact booking . com on this also the bank, over this fraudulent account practice, others in our group of 30 people are having the same problems, so I’m not going to use this hotel in the future again, please advise on this situation ASAP regards Brian Willmott.

United KingdomThe hotel is missold in terms of location. We ended up here due to cancelled flights from Charles De Gaulle and on Booking.com it states that the hotel is 14km from the airport. We had been stranded due to a cancelled flight and booked late at night with two elderly relatives and two children under 9. We couldn’t believe it when we got in a taxi to discover the airport was 40km from the hotel and we were stuck with huge taxi fares (way more than what the airline would cover) both to and from the airport with no opportunity to find an alternative due to the late time of day. We were not the only people from our flight that were caught out by this. This needs resolving on the website and I will be seeking compensation for the mis-selling of this hotel as an ‘airport’ option.
We had a brief stay but the bed was huge and comfy, the room was very clean and it had a really great breakfast! Loads of choice and tasty food

FranceThe weather has not been in favour of walking in the forest (November rain !). We were neither in position to use the electric bikes due to the rain. The car is necessary to go anywhere including places to visit, but it's neither the responsibility nor the role of the resort. However, beeing so close to a beautiful golf is really a plus for those practicing this sport.
Breakfast is really complete and we can have fresh eggs instead of egg powder scrambled eggs. Drinks at the bar were "generously served" for the price. Access to the pool/sauna/hammam was an added value, especially in the evening when you prepare to the bed and a good alternative to a walk outside when the weather is awful. The bathroom is fully equiped and you don't have to wait long minutes to get warm water. The bar is cozy and comfortable sofas welcome you to listen some soft music (piano sometimes, and playlists) while is easy to talk with your friends. The crew is really helpful whatever you request, and despite the Covid conditions, you can guess the smiles behind the masks. For rainy days, the Castel and the Stabbles of Chantilly are close to the resort and worth of a visit, including the Condé Museum and Horse Museum.

BelgiumDoesn’t reflect the number of stars they claim they have. There are water infiltration that are visible on the façade of the building. Most of the hotel staff doesn’t speak English which is strange for a international hotel chain. Fun fact: we ordered on one occasion two salads ( nothing special, something they had in their menu) and they serve it in a box, similar with the airplane lunch boxes. I mean for 17 euro a salad they can do the effort to serve it on a plate and pretend they made a minimal effort.
Location, in a middle of a beautiful forest very close to Chantilly Castle.

NetherlandsI arrive and get told I got upgraded to a better room - which seemed like good news. Unfortunately, I woke up in the middle of the night itching and scratching, only to find a bedbug. I start inspecting the bed - take off all the bedding, turn the pillows, and surprise - the bed is INFESTED WITH BEDBUGS! I took off all the bedding and they just kept coming out. I then went to the reception and was simply told “ok here’s a new room”. No help carrying my luggage, just a cold “sorry” and a shrug. The new room was not only a downgrade, but also next to a very loud power generator that made a buzzing sound every minute, non-stop. Totally unprofessional behavior and terrible customer service! I am covered in bites and even had to get a cortisol cream to treat them, it’s truly disgusting how they can call themselves a 4 star hotel. how can they charge almost 1k for 3 nights is a mystery to me. Other issues: - carpets are stained and dirty. - why out a coffee machine in the room if you don’t even provide coffee pods? - the staff never greets you. Literally not even once. Not me, not anyone. They just don’t care. - the staff didn’t even bother offering a discount or actually even asking how my stay was. This was a business trip, and I will surely never come back to such a place. There are much better hotels in the area.
The location is quite beautiful.
