Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere was no breakfast or mini bar. You have to give your key back to them when you leave to go out for the day which felt strange. If your not good with stairs avoid this as it has lots of stairs and they are very narrow
Amazing location, room was small but just what was needed for a city break. It was clean and only a 3 min walk away from the arc de triomph

PolandI'm trying to understand what are the negative reviews about and I don't get it, the staff was very welcoming and pleasant to talk to, the stairs to top floor are narrow pretty much everywhere in the city.
Small hotel in great location, a few steps from metro Argentine, with Arc de Triomphe visible from the window. My room was clean and well equipped, for Paris standards and this particular location it's a good value and quite confortable. I had a good experience and would recommend Marmotel Étoile for a quick stop close to 17th arrondissement.

BulgariaI did not like that I could hear in the night if someone was speaking at the reception, or talking, or hitting door while entering/closing room. It disturbed my sleep. The good part it's that this happen one night.
I liked the location. It was close to the Bus station for the Paris Beauvais Airport (15 min walking). It was very close to the center and safe location. I liked also that there is a supermarket very close and few restaurants. For the money and location, the place it is enough to stay for a few days.

United KingdomBeds were a little small and uncomfortable. You had to hand the keys back every time you left the hotel. There isn't a secure room for your bags if you checked out and left bags there to collect later.
Great location, close to the metro. The staff were lovely. We had the ground floor rooms that appear to be recently renovated so was pleasant.

Romaniaall good. will return anytime for Paris trips
Location is the key seller for this hotel. It's clean and decent, best place to rest your head after a busy day in Paris. You are 300m from Champs Elysee and Arc de Triomphe, for this area you can hardly find hotels under 200EUR/night. I arrived at 12:00 at property, they were very nice and allowed an early check-in. On day of departure, free of charge they allow bags to be left on the small corridor next to reception. The room was clean, small but had everything you need, stairs are small and narrow but typical for buildings in Paris. Just ask for ground floor room when booking if this is an issue for you. I've stayed at 2nd floor, Wi Fi worked well. Metro station Argentine is 20m away from hotel. The hotel room key needs to be pushed one extra bit in the lock, to open. If you want to stay in the heart of Paris, be able to walk to some of the most exclusive places in the world like Avenue Hoche and Champs Elysee and pay half of the neighborhood price, then this hotel is for you.

Italy- It's very expensive.....but it is Paris - During night, the neighborhood should be not very safe, but Paris is a very big city, so it didn't happen anything of out of order, just some drunkymen.
- The hotel is 200m far from arc de triomphe and champs elysees, 1km far from port maillot where buses from Beavuois airport arrive: so the position is very good if you travel with Ryanair!! There are two metro stations in the neighborhood, so it's easy to go where you want (the line near the arc arrives to the tower and louvre and the other one under the hotel comes to port maillot if I remember well). - The room is little, but nice and clean, bathroom too. - The reception is 24/24h open - Outside the hotel, there are two bars and one good boulangerie at the corner of the road. - You can leave luggages at the reception if your time of check in/out and arrive/departure are different.

Australia3rd floor room, tight steps to navigate so request a lower floor if you can’t manage or with heavy bags. Nice breakfast room but meal (optional) was set. Juice, coffee, bread roll, croissant, jam. (no cereal, fruit or cheese to help yourself)
Location couple of steps from Argentine metro station Clean, tidy, tile floor room. Tiny bathroom but do-able. Sound proof windows worked quite well facing the street, not completely silent. Cafe for breakfast next door.
