Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

This is a most magnificent place to stay.Sophie was a pleasure to meet ,she could just not do too much for us .The rooms we had in the tower just cannot be described in words they are the best you will find anywhere. These rooms are full of history that can be appreciated by the attention to detail in the decoration and finish. The comfort and serenity are a joy to the senses .I must mention the beds they were really the most comfortable I have ever encountered. We had "Sophie breakfasts" they were absolutely perfect and a little different each time however the locally made butter (hand churned) and yogurt (from the farm next door) + Sophie's home made jams and bread /cake cannot be bettered. We will return in the future but I think getting a booking may be difficult as there will be a lot of return guests Jerry &Maeve Sept 2024

Great place to stay in a lovely location, it had everything we needed. The accommodation was nice and clean and well decorated. The heated pool was a bonus too. The nearby medieval town of Rochefort was beautiful with lots of history to explore.

A beautiful Manoir situated in a remote location 1.5 kilometres from Rochefort-en-Terre. Renovated with great attention to detail, retaining many old features, including the 500 year old wooden staircase in the tower. The rooms, decorated with taste and attention to detail, have a unique atmosphere and the mattresses on the beds are a masterpiece. The lovely owner, for whom this place is a passion serves wonderful Breton breakfasts in the garden. If you're looking for beautiful, boutique places in Brittany, you don't have to anymore, this is exactly what you're looking for, and we'll definitely be back. It really is worth it, if only for one night, although you will certainly want to stay longer.

The property and its grounds was so beautiful and left us speechless! The gite we were staying at was so clean and decorated so elegantly! Everything was perfect and everything you needed was in the apartment. It was definitely a home away from home if not more! I couldn’t recommend it enough. Huge thanks to Sophie, who was the sweetest and most thoughtful host ever! Thank you for giving us a tour of your wonderful amazing manoir! I f you are thinking of booking, just do it! I promise you that you won’t regret it and you’ll be coming home with so much wonderful memories. United StatesThere is nothing we did not like - everything was wonderful!
We had the most comfortable and relaxing stay and will definitely be back again. This place is beautiful with amazing decor and very comfortable beds. The hosts are very friendly and helpful - it felt like we were staying with friends and we were sad to say goodbye when we left. The location is ideal for exploring everything Brittany has to offer. The town of Rochefort-en-Terre is picture perfect and very close to the Manior. The bathroom was very large and updated and the shower was wonderful. The kitchen was well equipped and we really enjoyed the outside table and chairs near our gite overlooking the pool and lovely garden. The bedroom was spacious and very quiet.

NetherlandsDuring the day, there is a bit of traffic noise from the road behind the property. There is no daily cleaning and emptying the bins.
Beautiful historic manoir with an orchard and a bit of wilderness along the river at the back of the property. Warm, friendly, and helpful owner. Excellent breakfast in the room or in the orchard. Nicely situated swimming pool with good facilities.
