Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesEverything was wonderful !
The location in Normandy was just down a quiet road and was a beautiful property. Remy and Stephanie were beyond friendly and accommodating. They gave us a lovely room on the first floor to help me with some mobility issues. Breakfast each morning was wonderful and Remy even made a special trip to the bakery to serve us before an early departure. It was absolutely a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend it!

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing.
The most important element of all was the host: Rémy could not have been more warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was genuinely interested in chatting to us. His family is also charming, include the pocket rocket that is Hippolyte! We all fell in love with him. This was the perfect base for a brief explorative tour of the D-Day story in Normandy. The manoir itself is beautifully decorated and furnished, with plenty of authentic, wonderful architectural details, and set in a lush green landscape. It was a tranquil spot and literally a stone's throw from Utah Beach. But I haven't mentioned breakfast! What a feast!! Both for the eyes and the stomach. Rémy prides himself on sourcing the most wonderful dairy products and pastries from the local area and each morning was an absolute treat. We loved our stay at Manoir de Pierreville and could not recommend it highly enough.

NetherlandsThere is no TV in the room (no problem for a short stay). The toilet location accross the corridor can be a negative point at night for some ...
The property is eye-catching , the owner is very friendly and helpful to provide tips and support . The room for 3 was spacious and fittingly decorated ;the bathroom across the corridor is modern looking and offers expected comfort. Delicious breakfast with local products.

United KingdomThere is nothing to dislike it’s as near perfect in terms of both facilities can get inside and out plus it’s close to the ww2 beaches ,memorials and tourist attractions - particularly Utah beach .
This is a really excellent B&B run by a Very friendly and Welcoming host Remy . He and his family have recently renovated this Manoir to a very high standard . The accommodation is spotless and the breakfast excellent . Attention to detail in the very comfortable and very nicely furnished modern bedrooms and en-suites is also top class . They should be very proud of what they have created and deliver to their guests . It really is a very nice place to stay for one night or more . You won’t be disappointed .

United StatesThere was no elevator, which was only an issue with our luggage. However, our host assisted us carrying our luggage to our room.
Remy, our host, was excellent. Remy and his son kindly provided assistance when needed, especially assisting us in carrying our lunch to our second floor room. The room was large, clean and beautifully decorate. The property is close to Utah Beach. Our planned first stop in Normandy.

United StatesThe only big challenge was internet service. While the B&B had wifi, the internet service in the area is spotty and it was out the entire four days we were there.
Manior de Pierreville is a great B&B. Its very small--only 5 rooms and the owners are lovely. The breakfasts were huge and delicious--usually included bread, croissant, fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, homemade jams and butter and coffee/tea. We had the family room on the second floor, which was clean, with a full bathroom, very large, two beds, bright and really lovely. It had an air conditioner, but we didn't need it (even in July). Remy was a great host (and speaks great English)--he greeted us every morning and was really helpful in suggesting local restaurants and things to do. The B&B is in the countryside, but very convenient to all of the D-Day sites. Its only about a 5-10 minute drive from Utah beach. And there are a lot of other small beach towns to discover nearby (easy parking right at the beach at most of them).

Absolutely everything. The location is perfect, the house is beautiful, clean and so high end. Our bedroom (the boudoir) was decorated beautifully and very romantic as the name suggests. But what brings all this together is Remy, he is such a charming host. And the breakfast… WOW. Well done Remy and your family for such a wonderful stay and bringing our French adventure to a perfect close.
