Swimming pool, koi fishes in the pond, area, the city, and the most , Peter as a natural born host who cares about you and makes your stay unforgettable. The evenings were very nice and breakfasts with the view on the lake will always stay in our memory. Totally recommend this apartment it has all needed appliances and stuff needed for longer stays.

We thought the bed was quite hard, but this is of course a matter of personal taste. Besides that we liked it all :-)

Very peaceful accommodation with modern facilities (airco, kitchen, washing machine, parking in front of your door etc.), lovely garden and pool. The kids enjoyed feeding the fish in the pond and the playing area and we loved the terrace and well equipped kitchen.

Set in a beautiful , peaceful residential location yet only a 5 minute drive away from the centre of Avignon. High spec , well equipped apartment that was a perfect oasis from the heat of the summer . The pool was superb and always quiet . The grounds are immaculately kept and the oriental style fish pond was an added extra bonus which was delightful to wake up to each morning . Peter was the perfect host and made us feel so welcome . He also helped us with some hire car problems we encountered. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to couples and families .

Lovely view from the terrace of the Japanese water garden and our daughter loved feeding the fish. Peter was an amazing host and everything was thought about. Including cutlery, cups and plates for our 2 year old. There were cleaning products. Coffee pods everything you could think of.

The roads leading to the Maison du Lac are narrow, especially the last few yards down an unsurfaced track. People seemed to manage and I'm sure I would have found it easier in a car I was more familiar with.

This is an apartment with the Wow factor. Peter and Iryna are friendly, helpful hosts. Peter designed this amazing place, with elements of Japanese style in the lake and delightful gardens. The lake is beautiful and feeding the fish is a lot of fun. The large south facing terrace is a great place to relax. The unheated swimming pool is long enough for a decent swim and shallow enough for it to have warmed sufficiently in the sun even in May. Plenty of sun beds by the side of it and some pleasant shade privided by the trees. On arrival the apartment was very clean and fresh, and Peter gave us a comprehensive introduction to the facilities and equipment. I was disappointed that there was no oven in the apartment. Like the washing machine, this is in a separate communal area. The bed was comfortable and on the firm side. There are no steps on the property. Avignon is a short drive away, as are supermarkets and shops. The location is an hour or so away from Nimes, the Pont du Gard, Orange etc. We had a lovely 5 night stay. Thank you Peter and Iryna.

Everything, the property is very well designed. The kids loved to feed the fish each day. Safe and secure for both your car and the kids to play. We even had a swim (in April) in the pool. We Highly recommend.

This property is a retreat. Well thought out and well equipped. Peter the host is super responsive and helpful. Great to be able to park your car outside your front door.

We didn’t have a car , so walked and went by bus which was convenient. A restaurant within walking distance would have enhanced our stay .

We loved the decor , it was lovely and clean , peaceful and beautiful surroundings . We loved sitting on the balcony and feeding the fish in the morning . Avignon is a beautiful town and within a 5 mins bus ride . A real gem of a place . Peter was really helpful and friendly . Nothing was too much trouble .

We were very happy to cook in the evenings - there is a very good Carrefour a few minutes drive away. However to eat out - especially local cuisine you do probably need to drive. However we visited in September so this may be different in high season.

Location was excellent. Quiet and convenient. Lots of parking, easy to find and very clean and comfortable. Pool was great and very relaxing and the apartment was exceptionally well equipped. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Would return tomorrow!

Our sat nav initially led us to the back of the property and we had to be "rescued". Lane very narrow in parts. Best to have your own transport for getting to and from the property and shops etc.

Very nice apartment with a terrace on the pond. It was very relaxing. The appartement was very well equipped and well furnished. A big plus is that it was equipped with toilet paper, paper towels, dish washing products, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. The pool was very nice. Its kids friendly and they are well equipped for families with babies. Peter and his family were very helpful and welcoming. Less than 10 min drive from Avignon centre.

If I was picky (I am) I'd complain about the Internet connection. The speed and latency of the Wi-Fi link seemed below par, but I wasn't there for work, so it was just good enough to plan our day trip. It might be tricky to arrive at the gate using your favourite GPS navigation, however it's a problem with the navigation system(s) and not the place. Just follow the host's advice and you'll be fine.

Simply everything. This is my very first 10/10 review and the place and its host earned it hands down. This place is superb - quiet, comfortable, spacious and with character. You can't find anything more laid back and relaxing. The host was super friendly; even if the house rules sound strict he didn't let us feel how much he cares about the condition of this property. Unless you're looking for that 6* place with a bellboy, valet parking and a 3* Michelin restaurant on the property, you can't be wrong choosing Maison du Lac. Walking distance to Avignon, easy and spacious parking on your doorstep makes it a great location for local trips. And there's much to see around. Kids loved feeding the Koi carps and living just on a pond full of fish was just awesome and not something you experience often. We'll be back :)
