Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

LatviaPillows were way too soft and uncomfortable for sleeping - I wish, there would be a selection of different pillows available. Also, we had to leave our keys at reception when going out - this approach seemed way too outdated for such a contemporary hotel, and the regular key card system would be much appreciated.
The room was great - super clean, very modern and seemed to have been renovated recently. Shower appliances were new and in perfect condition. The room was spacious, with many shelves available for storage and a built-in wardrobe. There was a kettle in the room, with a selection of teas/coffee. Overall, the hotel looked very new. Location was perfect for exploring the city center on foot and shopping at Galeries Lafayette/Printemps, and there was a subway station nearby (5 min walk) for easily commuting to other parts of the city. The St Lazare train station is right there as well.

United StatesI want to keep this hotel a secret. My room was small but functional, practical, with a great comfortable bad. It was quiet. The shower was perfect and there was a nice desk. Breakfast was very good. Above all the staff are welcoming and excellent. If you are picky, don’t come here. If you are gracious and kind, you will find this place a nice home while you are in Paris, Gare St. Lazare.

We specifically chose this hotel due to the location near Saint-Lazare Train Station. This was very convenient for our plans when visiting Paris. Hotel was comfortable and clean, staff were exceptional. Beds were comfortable. We did not take advantage of breakfast due to early morning starts, so can't comment on that. I would stay here again!

CanadaGreat location, easy to walk to most attractions and lots of great places to eat in the area. Very nicely updated with lots of plugins for phones & computer. The elevator was very small, 2 people or 1 with luggage, but we were on the first floor and the stairs were wide and convenient. Our room and bath were very large by Paris standards, we were pleasantly surprised. There was a Starbucks around the corner but we found the coffee and breakfast at the hotel offered us good food and a nicer experience for better value and was much less hectic in the morning. Staff were all very helpful but the young lady at the front desk was an absolute gem. We would definitely stay again.
