Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomPerhaps a little noisy at bed time, but this was just down to guests, and wasn’t too troublesome.Milk for tea in rooms would’ve been nice.
The location was amazing,so beautiful, surrounded by fields and beautiful river with water wheel-perfect setting for our last meal, which was so nice. The meal was very special, everything so tasty and different. The rooms were very comfortable-we had perfect views of the river;the bed was so comfortable and big bathroom with modern facilities. There was a little play park outside with ride ons, which pleased our little girl. This really was great value for a 2 star hotel, and would visit for the restaurant alone..just need to plan another holiday to France so that we can stay here again!

United KingdomNothing really.
Property location (20 min drive from Beauvais) is very nice. Dinner in the garden of the restaurant lovely. Staff personable and helpful. Given the comments in the Reviews, we booked a place for dinner by phone. Turns out we had little competition that night, but not way of knowing ahead of time.

United StatesStaff was inattentive. No one greeted us or told us anything about the property. They just handed us a key. The breakfast buffet was not staffed -- guests had to just figure things out for themselves. The shower was small and awkward to use.
Setting is nice and the bed was comfortable. 15 minute drive from Paris Beauvais airport. There is a nice garden in back by the river.

Okay three things here, it’s remote and you cannot get a taxi company to come and get you in the morning even if you try them all! The waitress at dinner is very anti tourist. The rooms are tiny but clean.

United KingdomI "thought " I had booked a restaurant at their table for the evening of our arrival but their restaurant was closed due to it being Sunday night, and yet on booking.com I read that the restaurant was open during my stay, If I had known this was not the case I would not have booked at all. I do not know whose fault that is (Hotel or booking.com_ but I did sent a request to the hotel reserving a table for Sunday 19th May when I booked the hotel via booking.com and nothing came back to tell me the contrary. When we arrived about 8pm it was like the Marie-Celeste. I We were the only car in the car park and we wondered if it was closed. I rang the phone number and a rather grouchy guy told me that my room key was on the piano at reception. We should have checked in at 17h and there was not food tonight. He made me feel that I had disturbed his evening. I did not see a soul until the morning. We then had to find a restaurant that was open. We did find a small pizza place about 10 kms away and went there. It was not what we were expecting after a 7-8 hours long drive but beggars can't be choosers, The pizza was delicious and the man who ran the pizza place was a delight because I only had about 10 kms worth of petrol left for the morning once I had reached his restaurant as I had intended to save what I had by not leaving the hotel that evening. However he guided me to a petrol station and saved the day. I would like to ask whoever it is who deals with this to sort out the hotel/booking.com relations because my paperwork said that 50% prepayment would be taken 3 days before my arrival and the hotel said that booking.com had no right to say that because the hotel decides how people pay and it is in full at departure. i await my credit card statement to see if I have paid in full at hotel and then also again 50% 3 days before.... or not! NOT HAPPY AT ALL
It was certainly a beautiful place but closed mainly for the bank holiday

Netherlandsthe hotel was almost perfect, until we went to sleep. The matrass on the double bed is so soft, that when we were laying on the bed, we sank to the bottom and were laying there aslope. We had a bad night's sleep, things were better when my partner went to sleep on the sofa bed which was also in the room.
this hotel is situated on an idyllic location in a beautiful old water mill. The combination with the restaurant where delicious meals are served is almost perfect, especially considering the price we paid for the room

United KingdomThere was nothing that I did not like. The only thing that was amusing was that locals visiting the restaurant obviously got a special menu (pricing) that was not available to guests!
The Hotel is nicely located in a quiet rural area, but close enough to connecting roads. The hotel is pretty & well maintained. It is a real French hotel, little English is spoken, but communication was fine. The hotel is very well run & although everything was good, the stand out for me was the high quality restaurant. The food is exceptional. A nice added bonus for me was that the owners offered me a place to park my motorcycle inside a building which was very considerate.

New ZealandThe front reception man was just rude. We had pre booked on booking.com and arrived after a long drive. Restaurant open but told NO it's closed, even though we coukd see people who had just arrived, being served from our room window after we unpacked. Asked if we coukd possibly get s bit of bread & coiffee. Emphatic NO. No welcome here, he seemed annoyed we'd even turned up. Maybe they don't like booking.com money! Room very smalll but clean Lovely spot but quite remote. Definitely wouldn't stay again

United KingdomWe arrived and checked in hoping to eat at the hotel, but were informed that the restaurant was fully booked. We asked if there was a possibility of room service or even a sandwich, which was refused. We were informed that the nearest restaurant "a couple of towns over" *might* be able to accommodate us. The car park was woefully inadequate and a struggle to get parked up. The bed had a huge dip in the middle and was extremely uncomfortable and pretty sloppily made. The kettle had water left in from the previous user. The cups had a thick layer of filth in the bottom. We ran out of toilet paper quickly having been supplied with less than one roll. There was no additional left in the room whatsoever. The electricity socket was loose in the wall and the decor damaged and tired.
The historic nature of the building is nice and the location very pretty.
