Location, quite compact, not too corporate looking

Great location, close to the promenade and the beach as well as shops, bars, restaurants and the tram stop for easy access to central Nice. The hotel was clean, rooms were very comfortable and clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Not much... as long as you appreciate the scale of the hotel is boutique and functional, then there should be no concerns..

When we arrived at the hotel, Graham on reception welcomed us and made us feel welcome immediately. He was helpful and proactive throughout our stay with solutions to every question. The hotel was functional and very well run, we had everything we needed for our 5 day couple break including coffee in the morning to extra pillows requested.

Carpet dirty in places in room. Shower cubicle really tiny, would be difficult for larger people.

Great front desk staff, good breakfast. it's a well-run hotel that makes the effort with some nice little touches - all you can drink coffees, free sweets, photo wall etc. It's a fun place. Bit of a walk to old town but near the beach and the airport tram. Aircon in room, free room safe, fridge. Recommended.

Unfortunately our deluxe double room did not have a balcony.

Charming hotel in the centre of Nice. Coffee, beach towels and beach umbrellas provided free of charge, all day. The front of house staff, especially Graham, really make the experience extra special- thank you for your hospitality!

Room is outdated. Carpet and walls had stains. Room was clean on check-in but following daily cleaning was not good. It was not a soundproof room.

Very close to the beach and promenade. Nice patisserie nearby. You can take umbrella from the lobby (sunscreen and aftersun also available). Staff was friendly.

My only complaint is that the Wifi was a bit slow in our room, and it disconnected quite frequently, so it was hard to use the internet at times. Also, we didn't really like the 2-in-1 shower gel & shampoo in the bathroom, and it would be nicer to have separate ones and maybe a conditioner too (since swimming in the ocean means salty and frizzy hair). My tip would be to bring your own products if you're picky with toiletries.

Fantastic stay at Locarno! The room was smaller than expected, but the view from the room out to the street was very nice. The AC was good and the temperature in the room was comfortable, and the room was cleaned very well. Very quiet hotel as well, and we slept amazing. Staff was incredibly kind and friendly; they were always happy to help and answer questions. There's also beach towels you can rent for free from reception, which was great! Our flight was in the evening, so we had all day in Nice even though we had to check out of our room at 11, but there's a shower room with towels and a toilet in the reception area that you can use even after you check out, which was really good (and we also got an extra towel each to shower with when we requested it), so we could go to the beach again during the day! The location is good, as it's right by the beach, and a bit away from the really touristy areas, so it's more relaxed and not so crowded outside. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel and what it offered, and I would definitely stay here again!

Shampoo, soap etc in one bottle. ( I expected more/better quality for the price) Small balcony. Terrible sound isolation. Low shower pressure on upper floors. Small elavator. The rooms could use a design upgrade.

Friendly and polite receptionists. Great location, close to the beach. Clean room and sheets. Powerfull AC. Good wifi. Terrace on first floor. Lots of options and good food at breakfast. Towels and beach umbrellas. You can take a shower on the ground floor.

Room was a tad small and the bath/shower did not drain well, with some cleaning/maintenance this could be fixed up no problem. We asked for one bed and it was 2 singles pushed together, but this was to be expected considering the size of the room. What was also a little strange was they used 2 single bed duvets inside a king cover sheet so they moved around a lot

Aircon worked great!! Room was perfectly cool and stayed cool the entirety of our stay. Location was perfect for the beach, but a little far from the station, depends how often you would like to get the train. Perfectly situated for use of the tram and bus system. The beach bag and fan provided was a lovely touch. Staff were really lovely and the citrus infused water in the lobby made us excited to come back to the hotel no matter the time of day. Would recommend and would stay again.

It was a bit weird, that the bathroom window was a full wall size one, just above the main entrance, with a curtain to block the light. Overall it wasn't a problem at all, just weird.

Location is great, one street away from the promenade, plenty of restaurants are nearby, and also a Lidl. The room was quite small, but had all it needed. Overall it was clean and comfy.

The balcony was a little bir dirty. There were cigarette butts on the floor of the balcony but the room was very clean and non-smoking room. And the door of the room was a bit heavy to open, my 12 years old kid couldn't handle it by himself.

Great location, very close to the beach. Reception staff was very cheerful and helpful. The hotel and our room were very clean. We felt very safe.
