extremely basic hotel. No AC, very very very poor and slow WiFi 🛜 making it unusable for work or even watch YouTube. This is 2024 and not acceptable.

I've forgotten my hat in the room and I checked out. I contacted the hotel later. They reacted fast, found it and kept it for me untill I coul retrieve it. Also I loved the location.

Rooms are a bit on the small side and the sliding door to the bathroom is heavy and difficult to close.

The location was perfect for our train-based travel arrangements. Also next door to large shopping centre and only 15 min walk to old town. The room and bed were comfortable . Breakfast was OK.

We heard strange "tik tik tik" noises in the room. But it is not related with the hotel. The noise was coming from outside. It is quite normal thing if you stay in hotel in the city center.

Good location, private and easily accessible parking lot. Room and bathroom was clean, stuff was welcoming all the time. Amazing location in the city center. Meets all our expectations.

No handrails in bathroom to prevent any slips and falls potential accidents especially for older persons. On first night of stay there was noisy disturbance from sadly I believe drunk middle aged Brits until 2 to 3 am. There would have been complaints and I believe HLE dealt with it very well and there were no more nightly disturbance. So bravo to the hotel.

Staff very helpful, everything in great condition. Windows that actually opened (European style) fantastic. Price reasonable and VERY close to the Lille Europe train station, could walk with luggage no problem.

There is no AC and I had to sleep with a fan on and still was a bit hot (mind you, this was in May… I could only imagine July-August). The location is a bit sketchy, between two train stations (though at the same time convenient), but overall, the whole city has a big population of homeless people and junkies. I always go out at night for drinks by myself when I travel; I decided not to in Lille. Be careful, tons of people asking for money and pickpocketing (even inside the stations).

The room was great: big and clean (just as in the pictures) and the staff very friendly. Nice shower and bed, and having a mini bar to put my own things is always a plus. Lille’s architecture is breathtaking.

No air conditioning... It was unseasonably warm and barely comfortable with the fan. In the summer it would likely be unpleasant. No real lobby or lounge to speak of (other than the breakfast area, which was also overly warm. I suppose that is reflected in the price.

The price of breakfast was a bit expensive for the options offered. But it was good in general. The shower could be improved. For the rest not much to add.

The location was just perfect, between the 2 main train stations, metro and a shopping mall. The building is modern and has a beautiful view from the breakfast floor. The view from the room was great, watching the sunset in this beautiful setting. Breakfast was good. The coffee was very tasty! Perfect for a start of the day. The room was nice, beds comfortable. The bathroom was good, nice bathtub. The shower was a bit less comfortable but the water stream was fine. The staff were very polite and professional. We were allowed to leave our luggage after the checkout, and even sit upstairs where the sitting area is. Cleaning was everyday but we didn’t use much this service, only a couple of days. If coming back to Lille, we will definitely stay here again!
