Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWish we could have stayed longer!
We loved the beautiful location, the breakfast and evening meal, our room, and our wonderful host Monique. We would certainly recommend this little gem tucked away in the Normandy countryside; the garden is beautiful, and we enjoyed a simple but lovely evening meal, prepared by Monique - with a rather delicious home made aperitif of a blend of local cider and calvados!

AustraliaExtremely small spiral staircase, can only accommodate very small luggage tho every comfort catered for in your room
Monique-owner and attendant for all - although has very very little English got the message across n was very accommodating Love the small farm of animals in particular, the chickens n goats n sheep n a Shetland pony all freely roaming in an enclosure except for the cat n one chick n they roam around amongst all the gardens - beautiful gardens n grounds where your served breakfast n any dinner requests as It would appear as a property very small Inside

United KingdomThe quadrant-shaped shower cubicle in our room was on the small side. The TV was in the top of the wardrobe and was also small but we didn't use it. Monique offered us drinks on arrival but we didn't find out until we came to pay our bill on departure that they were not complimentary.
It was a more than adequate continental breakfast with yoghurt, chocolate-filled doughnuts, homemade jams and a nice assortment of bread, pains au chocolat and croissants. There was orange juice and fresh coffee. We shared a table on the terrace with a friendly Franco-German couple who stay here twice a year. Our room (Amandine) was of adequate size with a smallish bathroom, but all fixtures and fittings were of high quality. Our room had a lovely view over local fields; it is a truly rural location and the house itself is quite old and quaint.

Monique was very welcoming and the property is well located. She has chicken, money, sheepuu and goats well looked after that our daughter enjoyed. The room was very clean the ensuite bathroom too. The house is well decorated and Monique loves talking with her guests. The breakfast was included and really good too with nice homemade jam. We had also our diner there in her amazing garden. The diner was nice a bit heavy ( lots of cheese :) - well that’s Normandy! nice drinks from the region! ) the but overall, we found the diner was a bit pricey.

United KingdomMonique was a joy! She made us feel very welcome and although she couldn't speak much English and I speak very little French, we got by. The environment is incredibly pretty and we were sad that we couldn't enjoy the garden or local walks because the weather was not kind to us! There aren't any restaurants close by but we were treated to a home-cooked and very nice meal and a bottle of wine in the evening at our request. The goats cheese was the best I have tasted! Thank you Monique we have told everybody all about you and we intend to come back one day!

United KingdomNothing to dislike.
Wonderful setting with magical garden and animals roaming in next field . Monique , the owner, was great fun and good attention to detail. Everything clean and well laid out in French style. All in all, a lovely cottage with a friendly and efficient owner who did not intrude yet was always available when needed. Her cooking sounded lovely but we were not able to enjoy it as we had booked a restaurant. Highly recommended for a different rural experience!
