Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandCheck in lady was a bit gruff and the location but it really didn’t bother us with the option to shuttle into town.
A great complex, we were a bit disappointed the pool cover was on, our kids were looking forward to swimming. A fantastic breakfast! We appreciated the shuttle into town and the friendly and helpful face on check out.

BelgiumPool is small and always occupied by kids. I planed to spend a lot of time near pool, but due to the noise from kids and lack of place in the pool, it was impossible. Kitchen was good, but I can’t name it European. Sometimes there were strange things with strange smells. But pasta and cheese and chicken were proposed every day. We felt Smells from old hospital in our room. Transferring to the sea was absence. There was transfer to the old Fontaine, but it was useless. In a 7 minutes there was bus stop and you can go anywhere you want to visit in the city.
Park is nice. Fresh air.

United StatesIt was very expensive to eat dinner there and the options for the dinner were picked over and not very good/fresh seeming. Fyi, this is basically a country club for families where they expect you to stay there all day and enjoy their food/facilities. It's not for you if you are there to experience the real Marseille. Fine if you want a place to sit and relax all day and partake in their activities/meals. Also, the rooms are very basic, no refrigerator, so you are sort of forced to eat their food. The bar tender during the day was very nice/helpful, however. Lastly, everything closes early and it's not really safe to go out after dark around there, so there's really nothing to do after 9pm. Good for families with little children or older couples who have thier own car, as public transportation, which is great in Marseille btw, is not near the Club. Therefore, you need to get a taxi unless you want a good long walk to the city center/main attractions.
We enjoyed the swimming pool

IrelandWith all due respect, I didn't like when I went to reception and I did ask for recommendations for families and I did receive a response such I don't know it's up to you. Despite I am not french native speaker, I did avoid speaking English always and from my experience in hospitality, I would just give few recommendations. Of course I got a recommendation to visit Palais Longchamp, and it's ok but they could have mentioned 'La Friche Belle de Mai" for example, which it's a good spot to start (unfortunately the time we went there were not activities or they were fully booked).
In general the place is very interesting because of its history and most staff were very nice and helpful. Specially Abdul who welcomed us in the night because a delay in our flight and Nikita who looked after our early leave picnic (I ordered in advance but there were miscommunication) This location is good for families (swimming pool was the reason why we chose to stay here) but it's important to know it's based in a working class neighbourhood. For me this is not a problem but it's true it's a pity the surrounding are not specially cleaned. In addition, the 21st June was the music festival we could feel the city was a bit out of control. However I am sure Marseille must be a place to stay more time and enjoy surroundings. The city has become very touristy so it was hard to find original places. Last, if you like street art, then, you probably will enjoy Marseille as I did.
