Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBreakfast room a little claustrophobic with the buffet (whilst excellent) crowded into a corner. A small thing but no glasses provided in the room (despite drinks in a mini-bar)..
Les Embruns is perfectly located in a few minutes walk from the centre of the town. Whilst parking is not available (very few hotels in the centre of Le Touquet have parking) there is a large car park 5 minutes walk away; out of season it is free during the week but is expensive otherwise. Room was splendid and breakfast excellent (at an extra charge).

United KingdomNo free parking at the property, so you'll have to pay for the nearby public parking (if during summer months - it's free in September!)
Great location, near to public parking (free from Sept for the winter months), but close to beach & the main shopping/bars/restaurants. Small quiet & friendly hotel; clean & good value, especially good for a one or two night stay!

This hotel is lovely, it’s in a very central location. Close to all the fabulous bars, restaurants, shops and the beach. The rooms are clean, neat and the beds were very comfortable.

United KingdomI specifically filtered my search to include parking on Booking.com and this hotel came up (and stopped me looking at others without parking). When we got there, there was no parking for the hotel. It wasn't too far and we were able to drop bags off, but you have to pay for parking (about 2 Euros an hour in the summer daytime), which adds up a bit. It wasn't easy to find a space at certain times of the day either. It would not stop me staying there as the location was perfect, I was just annoyed that the hotel says it has parking and it really doesn't!
The hotel was in a perfect location - right in the centre of town and a 2 minute walk to the beach. It was very clean and tidy and nicely decorated. The beds were comfy too.

United KingdomThe rooms we had were very small but good value for us. We chose not to pay extra for a bigger room and it was quite adequate and very comfortable.
The genuinely warm welcome, cleanliness, good quality bedding, tea facilities in the room, friendly, helpful staff who went out of their way to go the extra mile, breakfast in the garden. Independently run hotel in an excellent location in Le Touquet in a very short walking distance to the beach, and main shopping streets and restaurants (short enough for my 96 year old mother to potter to everything we wanted).

United KingdomSo in short it wasn’t a didn’t like but worth a consideration Our rooms were undeniably small although well equipped No parking but you can pull up outside to unload. We found free parking 15 min walk away on 3/4 days 3rd floor no lift but great exercise. No AC which would have been ok but le Touquet has the loudest seagulls I have ever encountered along with the occasional drunk made it tricky to leave windows open so best out of main season or take a fan!
The hotel was in a fabulous location. The rooms although small were well equipped . We had breakfast as extra which was reasonably priced and a great selection The little garden was lovely for breakfast or pre dinner drinks The lady on reception was charming and waved us goodbye when we left Good value for money

United KingdomFor us the bed was a little soft and the pillows were too large and a little 'tired'. The accommodation was clean and the addition of the old record player/LPs was a nice touch but it does mean that cleaning/dusting needs to precise.

United KingdomNot a problem for us but people should be aware there is no lift. Again, not the hotel’s fault, but lots of noisy seagulls in the area did wake us up.
Beautifully decorated property - charming decor that reflects the local area. Lovely outdoor area, a real sunspot. The location was perfect - right in the middle of Le Touquet. The staff were excellent - they went above and beyond to help. They very kindly let us extend our check-out by an hour free of charge and let me work in the property after check out.
