A lovely spot convenient for the town yet very tranquil. Well equipped and clean accommodation with a friendly host. This was our second stay here and we will be back :)

If you want to do lots of cooking then may find need more kitchen utensils etc but was fine for us.

Perfect location in the centre of Amboise but still peaceful. Bright and airy apartment with lovely outside space with table tennis table. Short walk to the shops & restaurants. Clos Lucé, Chateau Gaillard and Chateau Royal Amboise all within walking distance. Short drive to Tours and other chateaus.

Beautiful garden next to tastefully modern apartment. Property behind closed gates provided free parking, privacy and quiet right in heart of the city. Hostess was delightful, friendly, and had many good recommendations for site-seeing, restaurants, boulangeries, shopping.

Caroline is a great host. We also met her husband. Great gentleman! Caroline was very helpful and provided lots of useful info on where to go and to eat and make reservations (a must), etc. Our initial drive to Amboise kept getting delayed due to traffic and stops. But we were able to communicate with Caroline easily via Booking app and she was very accommodating with our multiple revised arrival time. Location is great. Car is parked behind locked gate. Spacious apartment, which apparently was newly renovated. You can tell lots of thoughts and care were put into remodeling the apartment. Kitchen counter (wood) is very new that it makes me worried about using it and leaving water stains on it :) There is a laundry facility (only washer), drys on the rack. Apparently this is very common in Europe. Also, I was amazed there are two huge hot water tanks. Caroline joked that some girls will take long showers and wash hair, etc so they want to make sure there are plenty of hot water! Anyway, we really enjoyed our stay and highly recommends it. I am almost worried that if this place gets too popular I won't be able to make a reservation next time we come back to visit Amboise :)

We liked everything. The only little drawback for us was that the chairs round the garden table were quite uncomfortable and sore on our backs so we weren’t tempted to sit outside, but it’s really a minor thing.

A lovely little apartment with parking. Clean and very tastefully decorated. Close to everything,shops, town centre etc.. but very quiet. Owners were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our break there.

Caroline was an extremely charming and helpful host! The apartment was comfortable and tastefully decorated, with many little extras. The shower was amazing, and the kitchen was very well appointed. It was a great location to use as a home base to visit the Chateaux of the area and very walkable to sites in town. Loved having a parking spot within the gated complex. And having a nice outdoor sitting area was a plus!

The appartment is very tastefully decorated, kitchen is fully functional and the garden in front is very nice to take your coffee in summer or for kids to wander around. The owner is very nice, she lives right next door but is very discreet. Right in the center, Walking distance to differents castles in the area

Caroline has done an excellent job designing and maintaining her guest accommodations. We were absolutely thrilled by our temporary apartments and the property’s proximity to town.

A lovely 2 bedroom cottage / apartment, well equipped and in a beautiful garden setting. Good kitchenette / dining space, and access to a shared washing machine and drying racks were all bonuses (plus tv was equipped with Netflix so we could have a night dining in and chilling out after lots of sightseeing). Close to everything in Amboise. The main house occupied by our lovely host Caroline was just opposite and she was available if we needed her but otherwise gave us total privacy - we used many of her excellent recommendations for places to eat, shop and visit and we will carry with us a happy memory of her smiling face greeting us on arrival and farewelling us when we left 5 days later. We would love to stay here again and recommend Les Charmilles to all.

Everything about this apartment is wonderful. The location was perfect, within walking distance to everything in town and close to amazing restaurants, boulangeries and a supermarket. The apartment is very modern, spacious, in excellent condition and perfectly clean. The bed was very comfortable too. There is parking on site. The host is lovely and provides an excellent introduction to the apartment, showing you where everything is and how to use the appliances, etc. Also provides great recommendations on the restaurants and sights in town as well as in the Loire Valley region. I would highly recommend you book this aparrment if it is available, you won't regret it.

There was parking easily available next to the rental but we had a bigger rental car and so did the other guests staying at the same time, which made it tighter than we might have liked.

Love the location! Everything was clean and safe and great restaurants are right around the corner. Bathroom was very nice and large (especially for France). We appreciated the bottle of champagne!

Nothing, we loved everything about Les Charmilles.

Les Charmilles is a great location- right in the middle of Amboise. We were given a warm welcome by Caroline who was most helpful and informative. She also gave us some great tips as to where to eat, what to see etc. The apartment was spacious, absolutely spotless and had everything we needed.

The charming garden which included a very secure parking space. Location could not be better to explore the centre of Amboise. The apartment was spotless and almost felt like brand new. Caroline was a wonderful host and gave us great information about where to eat and everything. Altogether a lovely relaxing place to stay.
