Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Ideally located in lovely neighbourhood, close to metro(s), grocery shops, bakeries and restaurants. Room was impeccably clean, lovely bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful (particularly the night manager!). We had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend it.

ItalyApart for the breakfast there are no other options for food. The rooms are not very big. Overall I found the price I paid expensive for the type of hotel itself. The wifi was not very good meaning you cannot expect to be able to make videocalls.
Situated in the heart of Paris, walking distance from Montparnasse station. The area is very lively and offers many options for food. The hotel is nice and offers a good breakfast. The staff was particularly cordial and helpful.

This was good value accommodation in Paris. The hotel was walking distance to Montparnasse Station for trains to other French cities and also Port Royal Station for the direct line to Charles De Gaulle airport as well as metro stations. The staff on reception were friendly, efficient and helpful. Hôtel was close to lots of restaurants and bars too. Room was smallish but modern and clean, bathroom was good. Would definitely recommend.

United StatesWe had a great stay to start our first France visit. The location is probably the highlight of this hotel for us with many restaurant options nearby and the Luxembourg Gardens. Blackout curtains were nice for our jetlag and the staff is very kind. We also loved the water bottle filling station which is a pretty rare find for any hotel.

United KingdomThe breakfast at the hotel was amazing! A great selection of pastries, coffee, juice etc. Anything you could possibly want from a continental style breakfast. The bed was extremely comfy and the room’s bathroom was lovely. The location is fantastic with the closest metro station being a 2 minute walk away. There are also countless restaurants, boulangeries and cafes in the area.

United StatesThe city tax was not updated on the Booking.com site so we were surprised to lean upon checkin in that it was not as the website said but had double. This because I had book the accommodation in 2023. I would have like to been notified by booking.com since we were there 4 nights and there were two of us, it was substantial and had at least doubled if not more. A Rick Steve's bus tour stayed at this hotel, the breakfast room was swarmed and taken over for meetings in the evening.
The room could have been a little larger, but we had a nice French balcony to sit out on and enjoy our wine and charcuterie. I loved Montparnasse because it out of the very touristy area but still had 3 metro stops to choose from and walkabout to St Germain and Latin Quarter. A wide variety of restaurants and small markets to pick up whatever you need.

GermanyTHE BATHROOM & TOILET: bad, non-smart design. Plenty of space available for bathroom & toilet, but used in a very non-smart, non-efficient, annoying way; toilet is in a separate small room, accessed not from the rest of the bathroom but from the main room, with no washing sink, and too small (a taller person sitting on the toilette hits the door with the head). 2 washing sinks, both uncomfortably small; a single big one would've been 10x better. Bath-tub too narrow; again, uncomfortable & unnecessary; a simple shower would've been 10x better. THE STAFF: a few of them are rude, border-line aggressive, and their vocabulary completely lacks words like "please". THE BREAKFAST: lacks some basic things to provide a better experience: one single tong for both meat & dairy products; no separate place to lie the croissant tongs (basically you have to put it OVER the rest of the croissants in the basket).
THE ROOM: clean, good looking, nicely decorated, spacious enough. THE LOCATION: ~3 minutes (<200m) to a station of metro line 4 (good connections). THE STAFF: most of them are really kind & polite.
