Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomVolume limit on tv which was strange as the rooms were advertised as soundproofed. But I get it.
Beautiful rural location within walking distance of the medieval town of a Rocamadour. Mathew on reception was incredibly helpful and funny. Exceptional service from him.

United StatesThe toilet room was on the complete opposite side of the bedroom making it necessary to walk all the way around the extra large bedroom to access the sink. It’s located in a beautiful rural setting which brings a lot of flies … this cannot be helped but it was annoying.
Our room was an extra large one in the main building on the southwest side. It had large sliding glass doors and windows in two sides. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was quite spacious and had a good shower! There was a large refrigerator and an espresso coffee maker.

United StatesWe loved everything about Troubadour. The location was convenient - as easy, beautiful walk into the village. We were given a map, directions and recommendations for what to see. The property itself was perfect in every way. We tried to book additional days but they were fully booked (and we could see why they were fully booked!). Breakfast was delicious - quality breads, coffee selections, eggs, meats & cheeses, yogurt, etc. and homemade jams. Room was clean and spacious, very comfortable. Nice to have safe parking on the property. Cannot say enough good things about this property and our stay.

United Arab EmiratesWe recently stayed at this hotel with our two active kids and were thoroughly impressed by the experience. We stayed in comfort apartment with 2 bedrooms and a living room + kitchen. It was incredibly spacious, giving us all plenty of room to relax without feeling cramped. The hotel's amenities, including a game room, swimming pool, and a beautifully maintained garden, were fabulous and provided endless entertainment for the kids. What stood out most was the friendliness and attentiveness of the owner and the staff - Frank and Matthew; they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable and even shared some Tour de France goodies with our kids. Truly attentive attitude. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to the city center made it convenient for family outings, even though it's 10 min walk through the field. It gave a feeling of staying close to the city, but having a nice relaxed atmosphere in the countryside as well. This hotel truly understands the needs of their guests, including families with kids and makes every effort to provide a memorable stay. I wish you all the success Team Troubadour!

AustraliaThe shower head kept moving whilst showering. That’s it and that was minor.
Beautiful location so close to Rocamadour you can walk. The best thing was the amazing service from Matthew and Frank! They were so welcoming, helpful, went the extra mile, and fun!

FranceWhen you enter Rocamadour and see the endless parking spaces around town, you would not imagine that just a couple of hundred meters further up the road there is a hotel that feels completely detached from the mass tourism vibe surrounding Rocamadour. It is a small and peaceful place with a great view of the landscape and a relaxing pool at its center. The staff is very cordial (and funny, I may add) and the breakfast is far above what you usually expect in a French countryside hotel. It takes a pleasant 10-minute walk to the city and you will be very happy to return to this serene place after you visited the sites. If you arrive by bike, there is a locked storage space where you can leave them overnight.

United StatesThere was nothing I did not like.
The hotel is located just outside of Rocamadour in a quiet rural location but you can walk to the medieval city in 20 minutes and to good restaurants in nearby L‘Hospitalet in 10 minutes. My room was simple but very comfortable and quiet. I walked out the door and was at the terrace and swimming pool! There is also abundant and free parking for all. Breakfast is sumptuous and varied - meats, cheeses, breads, cereals, sweets, fresh fruit - you can even order fresh fried eggs! And best of all, Mathieu and Franck are both excellent and accommodating hosts - friendly, helpful and full of good advice on what to see and do in the area. They both speak English but were kind enough to let me practice my French with them! I would go back to this hotel in heartbeat!

United KingdomNothing we didn't like. The flies were a pain but couldn't be helped.
Friendly and helpful. We arrived hot and bothered on realising we'd lost car keys. Matthew tried to track them down for us which was kind. We were given a much bigger space than booked. It was spotlessly clean. We walked into Rocamadour and ate at a restaurant recommended by Troubadour which was great food. Our visit was short - just one night but I'd thoroughly recommend.

United StatesHad an absolutely lovely time at this very quiet hotel. Location was perfect, just a short walk from the L'hospitalet to the hotel itself. Walking down towards the old city however does require you to go up quite a large Hill so would recommend bringing a car. The owner of the hotel, Matthew, was so gracious and accommodating and we were so appreciated his advice and exploring the city during our short stay.
