Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAlthough the room was well equipped, I was disappointed that only cardboard cups were provided. This seemed to me to be cheap in contrast to the quality of everything else. Also, the wardrobe space is very limited, ok for a few days but as we were at the end of a 14 day trip, we had more luggage than could be accommodated. I was a little put off by the extra cost for some of the breakfast elements when the price was already quite high.
Comfortable bed, good quality linen, very well appointed room (lots of plug sockets, coffee machine, kettle, safe etc.) There are some really nice design features in the rooms and around the hotel generally. Breakfast was excellent but there was an extra charge for omelettes etc. The pool was a bonus.

United KingdomI would read the description of the views more closely as wasn’t what I was expecting so felt disappointed on arrival. The room was lovely though.
Went in Aug with our teenage (19/17) boys. The location was good as was close to town for walking in to restaurants at night but away from the crowds. We paid extra for an external parking space, which I’d recommend as it saved faffing around finding parking spaces in grid lock traffic (Aug). We really enjoyed drinks on the terrace in the early evening - great view, lovely cocktails and pétanque - probably made our stay here. Bakery in lobby was fab too! Oh, and e-bike rental from the lobby (pre-book) was SO handy and fun.

United KingdomProper cups rather than paper ones for hot drinks in the room would be better. The maid arrived at 9:30 requesting access to clean our room and we asked her to come back later as we’d not yet showered. She claimed that reception had told her this wouldn’t be possible (which I don’t believe at all) and then asked us to put the do not disturb sign on the door. We refused saying that we did want the room cleaning but not whilst we were still getting ready. It seemed like she was trying to get out of cleaning our room to be honest by arriving so early then telling us to put the card on the door. We let her know when we did go out an hour or so later after breakfast that it was now free to clean. Arriving back to a clean, refreshed room seemed reasonable to us given the price paid per night otherwise we’d not have chosen a fairly premium hotel.
The location of the hotel is very good being a short stroll from the hustle and bustle of the town and within easy access across the road from the lake. The room was lovely - surprisingly spacious with a modern bathroom, comfy bed and the scent was very appealing on arrival being almost spa like. The large corner terrace we had was perfect for enjoying the afternoon sun with a table and chairs for two where we ate our Monoprix bought lunch with a nice bottle of red wine. The two sun loungers were also appreciated giving us a chance to rest for an hour after all of the walking we’d been doing. The space was private with a retractable awning and the view up to the church, looking out at the modern architecture of the apartments, was quite appealing as it was so different from everything else we’d seen on our trip.

SwitzerlandThe very busy main street is right in front of the house which makes it a little noisy at times. All in all there's not much to complain about the hotel.
Great, modern, stylish hotel. Well located and lovely furnished. We enjoyed the pool and the stay in general. Well-recommended for a short city stay. We'll be back...

United KingdomThe lady who managed the pool area was very rude. She would force guests to get up from a sunbed they were already lying in order to move the bed and the umbrellas for no reason? She moved my bed and my umbrella multiple times over my stay so I was so longer in the shade which was against my wishes. She even moved me incredible close to other beds already used by other guests (so we were almost touching?!) despite there being plenty of space for everyone. She didn't have the English-language capability to explain why she was doing this. It made everyone every uncomfortable.
Stunning hotel with a beautiful outdoor terrace and pool area. The bakery at reception was incredibly convenient for purchasing breakfast pastries and baguettes/salads for lunch.

United KingdomParking is very expensive. €30 per night for the underground car park. We managed to get one of the street spaces, which cost nothing, but there are only 4. It's a little bit of a walk into town which we didn't mind, but worth noting.
Lovely hotel. Rooms spacious with very good facilities. Pool small, but enough for a nice dip in the heat. Lovely patisserie downstairs to grab a breakfast pastry. Staff friendly and attentive. Beautiful location and view of the lake.
