Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Statesnot really did not like, but something to keep in mind You have to walk a stairs to the first floor to get to reception and elevator and it is not 2-3 of it, which might be not easy with luggage; breakfast is very simple - baguettes, croissant, juice, coffee, which is regular for Paris, but other hotels we stayed in had some cheeses, cold cuts, yogurt, eggs. But again it is a lot of choices around hotel to have a breakfast, we had in cafe right next door
Location, room size, cleanliness, view of Notre Dame, reception personal, a lot of choices of restaurants, bakery, grocery stores in the area. Very charming hotel with nice decorations

United StatesThis hotel needs a serious update. Everything looks old. It seems like it was done in the 70s. Also, the lobby is one floor above street level with no elevator access.
Excellent location, next to RER for the airport and across from Notre Dame. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

TurkeySmall bathroom. But still manageable for one person.
Very close to metro station, and a lot of restaurants shops around. Yes, there was a real view of seine river and Notre dame. İ was at the roof floor so window was small but still there was a view.

New ZealandAs with any very central location (and visiting) on the weekend, it was noisy at night, but nothing that prevented us from sleeping
The property was as gorgeous as it looks. The location was incredible - right in the middle of all the famous sights. Highly recommend this place.

United StatesThere is no elevator going from the entrance to the reception. Beware if you have big bags. It s not advertised on the hotel description. There is a tiny elevator from the reception area to the rooms. Breakfast is ok but rather minimum
Great location with a nice view to the Seine river and Notre Dame. Street is noisy but rooms are well isolated and have A/C. Metro/RER entrance right across the street

AustraliaTripped over the carpet in the room a few times as it wasn’t secured down properly and had random bumps in it and the floor was very uneven and slanted.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. Great location! Had a 5th floor room and booked the view of the Notre damn and the seine, would definitely recommend. Good amenities. Overall a great stay.

New ZealandGreat view of Seine river and Notre Dame. Upstairs rooms tight and cramped, unable to stand up to shower. Hotel has a damp sewer smell to it. They changed our room because of this but new room was no better.

United StatesA tiny lift starts on 2nd floor. All luggage has to be carried up the first flight of stairs. Then up in the lift (we were on 6th floor) or the rest of the stairs. The stairs were very steep.
The location is amazing!!!

IsraelTo get to the elevator you need go up the stairs 1 floor, not comfortable with suitcases. I glad that hotel stuff help us. But I prefer it would be mention in description. The bathroom is spacious, but no cover door for shower and all water is out on the floor. The room decor is not everyones cup of tea but is worth the location. Also police car very noisy sound outside every 5 minutes
The view, the location, the stuff is very helpful and nice. The room get cleaned everyday.

GermanyOur room (11) had a tiny bathroom with a tub, that could not be used as a shower.
The location is great, at Notre Dame, near the Hop-on-Hop-off bus station, near 3 metro lines. The windows are sound proof enough to keep regular traffic noise out. The curtains are strong enough to keep the light out. The breakfast (10 €) was very good (coffee, organge juice, milk, croissant, bred, butter & jam and pastries)

United StatesWe had a great stay! Our room had a loft (with a very steep staircase) and two windows that overlooked the seine. We slept with our windows open and the May breeze coming through! The location is fabulous and despite it being on a very touristy room, we barely heard the sounds from our room. The staff was incredibly accommodating and kind!

United KingdomThe room overlooking the 'courtyard' had very steep and dangerous stairs. Been on the sixth floor the ceilings were low in places, so our tall friend and I had to be careful walking around the room. The bathroom was much too small... next time 52/42 might be better for us.
Fantastic location for one of our rooms. Next time, we'll book 52 and 42!! Efficient service at breakfast and staff always pleasant and helpful.
