The hotel is a very old and has retained so much of the original features and the furniture matches the period. Our room was truly beautiful with an old wooden ceiling and stained glass windows. It also caught the early evening sun which was lovely. The staff were very helpful and told us our dig could come down to breakfast which was nice. There is a small garden and pool as well.

Beautifully well kept chateaux. Rooms had feeling of the history of the building with modern updates and a lovely new bathroom. Location easy to walk anywhere in Amboise and approx 20 min walk from train station. Staff were kind and helpful. Unfortunately pool was not open when we were there but looks like it would be wonderful as well.

The room was fairly spacious, atmospheric, quiet, and comfortable. Bathroom was luxurious with a very large soaking tub. We asked for a quiet room and it was provided. We felt it was a little bit warm in our room for sleeping as it was on the upper floor, so they happily turn the air conditioning on for us. It was central air rather than one of those box units of blow on you, so it was a much more consistent and comfortable temperature for a good sleep. Our room was also nice and quiet. I actually quite loved this hotel and wished we had been staying another night (we stay two nights). We travel quite a bit, and I felt this hotel exceeded expectations, and it went out of their way to provide comfort to their guests. The location was also great. They had plenty of umbrellas for used as we had rainy weather during our stay. The one day we did have nice weather they opened the pool up just for my husband to use as he enjoys a swim. Thank you!!

There’s nothing I didn’t like. My only suggestion is to include rubber mats in the shower/tub.

Location was excellent! Walking distance (5 minutes) to Chateau Amboise to all the old town restaurants, sights and market. Very clean. Very comfy. Big room. Excellent staff. Free on site parking.

Greeted by polite and professional staff (Gerald), he was attentive and helpful. Our beds were wonderful as were the sheets and towels. Our needs were attended to, by recommendations for restaurants, for medicine and for laundry. The car park was safe and convenient The Mansion has great history and an elevator for suitcases.

Beautiful converted Manor house. Room was spacious and charming. Staff was wonderful. Breakfast was great. Location was perfect. There was a delightful living room like area with a fireplace where you could order food and drinks and relax. This is really special boutique hotel that is exquisitely decorated.

GPS directions made it hard to find when driving into Amboise but the hotel staff quickly provided simple directions that made coming and going a breeze.

A lovely period property with all the modern conveniences. Walkable to the city center and tourist attractions. Great base for visiting the Loire valley chateaux.

Newly renovated and beautifully kept. Gardens & pool were lovely and there is parking which is great. Easy walk into Amboise. The staff were lovely especially Gregoir (not sure that is the correct spelling). He was very thoughtful and professional. A real asset to the hotel.
