I wish I could have expected to rent a car beforehand to take my mother to the nearby places she wished to see, so that I could have saved myself that headache and time that I could have used for myself for de-stressing in the sauna or swimming in the pool as I had hoped for.

Limited gluten free options for breakfast

The hotel manager, Gregoure, made the stay very easy and pleasant! He was extremely helpful with recommendations, he was pleasant and smart. He recommended the restaurant at the location and put us on the waitlist, and luckily we were able to get in . He notified the chef of my gluten intolerance and nut allergy and the restaurant was able to accommodate. The grounds are beautiful with a very nice heated pool (I did not use) in addition they have a sauna which you can reserve. Also in a town where limited parking is available they have a wonderful parking lot on property which is monitored by the front desk.

The attic rooms were a little small and quaint - even at 5'7" I bumped my head a few times. Taller guests may struggle. the room was lovely though and we so enjoyed our stay.

The setting, hotel, facilities and staff are delightful. Staff are so helpful and make you feel you are staying at a very nice house as a guest rather than a hotel. The food in the restaurant is also delicious and good value for money for a fine dining experience. We would definitely come back.

There was nothing I could complain about. The car parking is tight so a smaller car will make parking easier.

The location was excellent and staff were helpful, professional and courteous. Our room was spacious and well appointed and we were so grateful for the a/c. The outdoor facilities including the pool were beautiful and our dinner at the hotel restaurant was so good, we had to go back a second time!

Getting into the car park isnt easy if you have a large car.

Breakfast was very good which appears to be the norm for France. We had a set dinner in the hotel which was a taster menu. The meal was very good and you get dishes you wouldnt usually choose. Great location and Amboise is very nice

Arriving at this gorgeous manor was such a welcome surprise after hours driving. Our room wasn't at all expensive and the property is absolutely full of original charm, the garden is just lovely, the staff were delightful and breakfast was delicious. The town, Amboise, has so much to offer and is full of atmosphere.

The grounds were out of a fairytale with beautiful landscaping. We loved sitting in the courtyard with a glass of wine in the evenings. The rooms were pristine and beautifully decorated. The location was convenient. As a bonus, there was parking to allow us to easily access our car for sightseeing throughout the region. The restaurant was delicious -the best meal in France. Thank you to the always helpful staff to make our stay special!

I wish they had told us when we booked to make dinner reservations at that time at the restaurant in the hotel. This is important as most restaurants are closed in town on Sunday and Monday. We wait listed there and did get in on Monday night.

The property should be clearer about where rooms are located and what access limitations, if any, they have. The main building has an elevator--at least one of the two other buildings does not. A steep, winding staircase is not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. In addition, the hotel should be clearer about where its units are. For example, rooms in the main building or the building facing the gardens are much more desirably located than those in the former stable (a fact I'm not sure is represented in the price). The only other negative is that the turn off the street into the parking area is quite tight.

This small hotel is beautifully maintained, with an excellent on-site restaurant, grounds, and heated pool. Rooms are spread over three buildings--the main three story building, one two story building facing the gardens, and one two story building with three units (a former stable from appearances). Our Superior Family Room was located in the last building and was quite comfortable, large, and well-equipped. It did, however, require walking up a steep, winding staircase with no elevator available. The breakfast was excellent. The location is within 5-10 minutes of several excellent restaurants, the chateau, and Leonardo da Vinci's home.

The welcoming staff, beautifully decorated rooms, gorgeous courtyard and pool area, spacious and updated bathroom with rain shower head option, extra comfortable bed and bedding, fabulous restaurant and service, free on-site parking, and central location. I had a superior room on an upper floor overlooking the courtyard. This is a hotel designed with couples in mind, but I loved it as a solo traveler. It was wonderful!
