Wonderful and quiet location, very friendly staff , enjoyable food, altogether a lively place to stay

The wifi was a bit weak in part of our room but moving to the desk fixed it. Really nothing else to winge about.

The proprietress was so energetic and welcoming but balanced with respect. She greeted us, showed us our room and left us to rest. The dinner restaurant was excellent as well. The food was great with a vegetarian/pescatarian option. We got the three course meal and it was both delicious and beautiful. Again, the staff was so helpful and welcoming. They even have a couple of friendly but distant hotel cats. You are literally yards from the chateau as well and the village gets quiet and peaceful in the evening. They have a safe place to lock your bikes and there's a small grocery down the street if you are bike touring.

Nothing! Everything was up to or exceeded our expectations, reception was friendly and immediate, the rooms are ingeniously designed with excellent ensuite facilities. The hotel has its own restaurant where we had an excellent dinner.

Very good continental breakfast. The coffee was not hot the first time, but when we pointed this out we were given really hot cups of it. Service very friendly. The situation could hardly be better - two minutes walk from the grand and picturesque chateau and chapel of Usse.

Nothing, it was all very good.

The property is a short walk away from the picturesque Château d'Ussé castle. The vicinity of the hotel is lovely to walk around. The hotel itself is located in an old but well maintained building, so it's an old style hotel - the benefits are that the rooms are huge and comfy. Yet the amenities are at a good level. The staff were friendly too.

could not be any closer to the castle, very clean, charming, amazing food for dinner and breakfast, such an amazing hostess!!! very convenient parking, peaceful area around with river and forest, very nice for morning and evening strolls.

The room we had was fine but when we saw the room you are showing in the picture above it was lacking somewhat. The bathroom definitely could do with an update as the shower had to be hand held.

Proximity to Ch. Usse and Chinon. The staff and food were both very good.

Lady in charge- wonderful. Helpful, considerate of our needs because we don’t speak French. Lovely room & surroundings .Breakfast was very good, although lacking with fresh baguettes. Supplied lovely cheeses for our breakfast .

We liked everything, the location was perfect, we are cycling the EuroVelo 6, our room was very comfortable, the windows opened which we like. We had a wonderful vegetarian dinner and breakfast could not have been better. The Owner, hostess and cook-all the same person was amazing. Very warm and friendly and spoke very good English which helped us out wonderfully!

The neighbor across the street rubs her TV well into the night, and again in the morning, so with our windows open for ventilation we could hear that. Not super loud, but audible background sounds. It would be better if she didn't use the chateau as the first picture of the place. Use a picture of the actual hotel. It is handsome.

The hostess was more than super. When we arrived she knew that it was us (we were on bikes). Talking with her was enjoyable. She is very nice.
