    We found nothing to dislike.

Very welcoming hosts, the bed was extremely comfy, the area was quiet and only a short walk from the centre of Nevers. Private off road parking. Breakfast was good, especially the blackcurrant jam. I highly recommend this B&B and would gladly return if ever back in Nevers.

Excellent hosts. We stayed two nights and received a fresh set of towels after the first night. Air conditioned room, comfortable bed, wonderful breakfast, secure storage for our bicycles. 15 to 20 min walk to the center of Nevers. Very pleasant conversations with our hosts even though our French is relatively poor.

The wife didn't give us a tour of the entire house upon our arrival- we were sent straight to our rooms and then the door is slide shut when the wife went back downstairs. It didn't feel welcoming as it seems we were not allow to use the living room or dining room during our stay except for breakfast time. I didn't like that all the windows were shuttered shut until we have access to remote to open them. I also didn't like that the gel were in every room and missing hand soap. I am not a fan of hand sanitizer gel and prefer to wash my hands thoroughly with soap. The host solved this by giving me shampoo to move to the other bathroom that has no soap. It was strange. The house is not super close to historic sites; best to have a rental car to get around and to/from this B&B. On plus side, it is a quick drive into the center and they do have a parking spot next to their garage (you have to enter from the street to find it).

We like their gardens and dining room (permitted only during breakfast). The bedrooms are very clean and comfortable. I liked their upstairs windows (and being able to open the blinds to let daylights in). Felt cozy and warm. I love that there are two bathrooms, one with shower that was easy to turn on/off and stocked with clean towels (thank you!). I like the privacy of 2nd floor where my family slept. They also provided board games and snacks on shelves which were a sweet touch despite the awkward entrance. While we are used to American fares (bacon & egg), bread breakfast was interesting (lots of breads!) I guess that's the French way of living! The husband was very friendly and helpful during our check-out. Appreciate his efforts at communication.
