Individualistically styled room and common areas. Beautifully presented. Great location for visiting Annecy old town. Very comfortable bed (I actually had the best nights sleep I’ve had for ages).

Bedrooms I think it was just style over substance, the owners need to stay in the rooms to see what it feels like. The sliding door for the bathroom is not great for privacy, locker wardrobes for clothes felt a bit teenagery and also noisy. The bedroom side light with no shades, so quite ‘in your face’ with light, main light is quite poor for lighting the room in the dark. The room was a little too cold, as it was winter and the duvet was quite thin.

We’ve been to Annecy previously so we knew how beautiful the lake is. Disappointingly, our room which was advertised as ‘lake view’ was actually ‘canal view’ . Having said that, the canal view wasn’t too bad once my wife and I got over our initial disappointment. The property is advertised as NOT having a TV or a fridge which is a pretty basic feature of most hotels, so that was a minus. We know it’s marketed as boutique, but no need to skimp on the basic comforts. Whilst it was a lovely old building, the wooden floorboards creaked very loudly with every footstep, probably enough to wake other guests because the internal walls were paper thin. Lastly, the furnishings are spartan and the curtains were barely hanging on, so need replacing. Having said all that, the hotel was full of character & charm, the staff were wonderful and walking the streets of Annecy is a sheer delight (as always).

Breakfast was a little expensive at €18 for a typical French offering (pastries, meat and cheese). Smokers on the table next to us. I know it's a French thing, but why not have a smoking area?

We upgraded to a lake facing room which was worth the extra cost. Large room with a comfortable bed and good bathroom. AC was a blessing in the 38c heat.

This was a “boutique” hotel with a themed room - all white, which was ok however there wasn’t really a comfortable chair to sit on (there was a swing, and a cane rocking chair and a small cube pouffe.) Other rooms may be different and I did give this feedback when checking out. There was also plenty of space to have a small fridge and a jug for tea and coffee but neither were available. We felt for the price paid these could be included.

The property was in a good location close to the lake and the old town. Air-conditioning was effective. Spacious room and bathroom and comfortable bed.

Our breakfast was not included in the booking.com price so I asked for breakfast for an extra charge. Next morning I received an online check out form including the online payment for the breakfast. I paid online before the breakfast but when I wanted to drop the key before our leaving, the Receptionist simply did not believe me even after I showed the invoice of the payment. I felt very embarrassed. She checked my phone where the invoice of the payment was but still did not believe me, she made a phone call to check if I had paid. Of course, I did but she did not apologize.

The hotel has a good location but the rooms are a bit small. We expected to see some good view through the windows but we could see mainly the roofs of the houses.

A bit too expensive for what's on the offer. No kettle or coffee machines in the room (can use the kitchen after 6 pm for this purpose). Room slightly cluttered, no TV, the bathroom door is half glass and does not close well.

The control on the heater was broken and couldn’t be turned off, so we had to jack up the aircon. We reported this issue to the reception staff but it wasn’t resolved during our stay.

Property is in a convenient location. We had a car and found the nearby car park handy. Lady at reception provided a hand written list of restaurant recommendations which were spot on.
