Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe windows of the rooms open directly onto the sidewalk and street. However, closing the shutters and window eliminates any street noise.
It is charming, with large rooms, a beautiful rear courtyard and breakfast area, and a proprietor who goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable. The breakfast was large, varied and delicious.

United StatesNothing! I highly recommend it.
It is an amazing, beautifully renovated 1830s house with large comfortable rooms on a pretty street an easy walk from the train station. Giles is an outstanding host who provided coffee on the terrace, a ride from the station, and an incredible breakfast.

United StatesIf I had to be bothered with negatives here, is that the town isn't much for seeing. But it's close enough of a drive to plenty of other charming and loving things to see in the area. Come prepared to be mobile.
Anything I could've wanted I could've had. Was a charming little bed and breakfast, enough modernity to be comfortable, and the right sorta old-world charm that brings character and joy. Would return, and will most definitely tell friends.

The location is very good and quiet, appropriate to explore Provence. The breakfast is very good, nicely served by Gilles, the hotel owner, who is also always ready to give you useful tips about surroundings. Thanks to him we discovered great little villages and wonderful places which made our holiday even more pleasant.

GreeceEverything was perfect!
Amazing place, the interior design is a masterpiece! Everything is beautifully decorated and shining, in order to elevate your stay and make you relax. It’s a boutique hotel that combines all the modern amenities with a classic twist. If you’re someone who’s paying attention to the details, you’ll be excited about the wine cooler in the fridge, the gorgeous antique furnitures, the jazz playlist in the dining room and the garden and of course the breakfast! The room was big enough to feel very comfortable and even though our room was at the ground floor we didn’t get annoyed by any street noises. The city of Cavaillon was nothing special but the location was the most convenient to visit all the famous villages of the region.

This hotel is truly the gem of Cavaillon. It’s exceptionally beautiful, super clean, and thoughtfully designed with unique antique furniture that adds to its charm. Gilles, the host, is outstanding—not only incredibly welcoming but also an excellent cook. His daughter, Lilou, is equally helpful, she drove us around on a few occasions. We were also very fortunate that they both speak good English, which is quite rare in the area. If you’re planning to visit this region, I can’t recommend this hotel enough—it’s the perfect place to stay.

United KingdomA beautifully renovated period property, filled with an eclectic and fun mix of decor accumulated by the generous and charming owner over the years. We were astounded to have so much space to ourselves and loved the serene courtyard - like a secret oasis away from the world. Breakfast was delicious, and we could have spent hours chatting to the wonderful owner. We were very sad we couldn’t spent more time relaxing at 212. It’s also rare to meet someone that loves their job so much, takes such pride in their hotel, and is so generous with their time, thank you again for making us feel so welcome in your Property. If you are in the area you need to visit 212. Thank you so much!

United KingdomWe had a superb stay at Le 215 Gambetta when attending a wedding nearby. Gilles and Valerie are great hosts and made us feel very welcome - they are incredibly friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble. Gilles even offered to give us a lift to the wedding when we couldn’t find a taxi. The breakfast was super yummy and varied, and we really enjoyed chilling in the shaded garden with the sound of water trickling in the fountain in the background. The property itself is really cool and full of character. The deco has been chosen with meticulous care and all the spaces are beautifully decorated. Our suite was huge - with an amazing bathing room and a very comfortable bed. Thank you for a wonderful stay! This hotel is a real treasure and we would recommend it to everyone!

United StatesMy wife and I loved every moment of our visit to Cavaillon, and that was largely thanks to the beautiful accommodations at Le 215 Gambetta and the superb hospitality from Gilles. Every detail of the property is thoughtful and unique, while still maintaining comfort at every level. The antiques scattered throughout the hotel are an excellent touch (not to mention the lovely cat that joined us for breakfast each morning)! We were in town for a wedding, so we hadn't made too many plans outside of that. Gilles stepped in and ensured that we had more than enough recommendations to fill our itinerary. If you are visiting Cavaillon, you must stay here.

GermanyN/a. Everything was perfect.
The communication was great from the beginning, the ambience in the exceptionally beautiful Gilles‘ and Valérie‘s house is very cosy and relaxed. The spacious room where I was staying was in different soft shades of green colour - calming, trés chic and ideal for sleeping. One of the highlights is the breakfast in the wonderful Mediterranean garden with the background music from the kitchen. Gilles is a superstar host as he does everything with his heart and soul. He provides for the guests the best baguette in town, fresh fruit from the farmers‘ market, delicious hand made jams from the village nearby . He always finds some time for small talks and gives great recommendations for the trips in the area of Les Alpilles, Luberon and Vaucluse as well as for the local restaurants. I would like to thank to Gilles and his family for making my holiday in Cavaillon very special and if I ever come again to the city, I would for sure stay again at their place.
