Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdomthere were too many steps everywhere - in order to get to the hotel itself and in order to get to the various facilities such as the swimming pools and restaurants. The one and only passenger lift was out of order and undergoing repair - we were provided with a room on a lower floor than the one we were originally meant to have. There was not one television channel which was in English out of the many channels provided. The restaurant breakfast was too expensive for what was available so we never used it and the main evening menu was poor again we never used it.
it’s closeness to Agay centre and the ability to park our car. The hotel staff were excellent.

EstoniaDo you probably need a car to get around. Also, there was entertainment at night, which was very noisy. Also wish the pools were open a bit longer on a warm summer evening.
Lovely breakfast on the terrace, good value for money. We had a sea view room, which was really nice, great views.

Italythe staff doesn’t speak well other languages rather than French and is not very keen in customer service, the restaurants in the complex are terrible, better to go to saint raphael
the room is very nice, the balcony big, bathroom has a nice new shower and the bed a nice mattress. This about the room, while the complex is very nice with two big pools and plenty of activities for children

FranceBad smell from bathroom. The handle of the door to the stairs was almost broken when also the elevator was under repair. I informed the receptionist about the risk of the door handle to break but no repair was undertaken in the days following my info to the hotel receptionist. At the check in we were not given the code to open the small gate to enter the premises from the beach. In the interphone we got the following advice " to wait for any customer to go out of the gate and therefore to open the door to let us in " !!!
Room was spacious and terrasse agreeable.

United Kingdomit’s more convenient to have a car to go to the hotel, which is on a hill. If you travel to the Agay station, make sure you turn right. Do not follow the google map if it tells you to turn left. Turning left leads to a private road, where the door was closed when we were there.
The environment is amazing - trees, grass, swimming pool, sea view, play ground, good restaurant (the salade is tasty.).

United KingdomLa Planche restaurant. The staff were awful - we tried twice to have a meal there, but both times after more than half an hour we walked out. I’m not even sure why we went back the second time, but the menu looked good and we just thought we’d give them a second chance. But strongly recommend you avoid it…!
The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful - really outstanding. The place has a real buzz throughout the day and evening. We really loved the pool facilities, the location near Agay and some of the restaurants are really fabulous.

RussiaI was slightly disappointed overall. The room was not cleaned after the first night, there was neither shampoo nor shower gel in the bathroom only small soap suitable primarily for washing hands, the safe had no lock inside, and the swimming pool was overcrowded. There was no panoramic view like in the pictures from the terrace. Also when I arrived they were struggling to find my reservation so I lost my time on this. Moreover, the staff at the reception was not sure how much the deposit was. They initially requested a 2000 Euro deposit which is strange.
The hotel is located near the Esterel Massif and there are several amazing walking routes nearby. 10 minutes to the beautiful beach. The room was spacious with a big terrace. The territory around the hotel was amazing with great views. Also, there was a supermarket nearby.

IrelandYou have to pay a 100 euro deposit for 2 swimming pool pass cards. This is a bit ridiculous as there is no way a replacement card would cost 50 euros. The air con in the room did not work, we tried it multiple times on all the settings available. We only realized late at night and we decided not to report it to reception as we were only staying the one night and we were tired. We didn't want to change rooms. There is a fan in the room, but the night was very warm so we opened the balcony door for better air. Unfortunately the couple next door smoked throughout the night and all the cigarette smoke got into our bedroom. We had two options: sleep in cigarette smoke or close the windows and be too warm to sleep. At 05:15 they were still smoking. The rooms are not very well sound proofed/air proofed so we heard them getting up for a smoke on the front hallway which was shared with our room. Needless to say that the cigarette smoke got into our room. Not something I would have expected to deal with to be honest. Non smoking rooms is by now a standard everywhere right? The balconies are not very private, you cannot see your neighbors but you can hear everything and smell their cigarettes of course. There is only a wooden slate between the two balconies. I'm just sorry that in a hotel that was obviously not very busy we were not given a room with a bit more privacy. Or experience, for the money we paid could have been more pleasant. There is no spa in the normal sense of the word. For a one night stay, you check in at 4 pm, the spa closes at 6pm and you need to book the spa in advance to use it. Also, you can only use the spa if you book a treatment, there is no sauna or steam room to use as some extra cost. This should be better advertised as it is misleading the way it is currently advertised.
The reception staff was brilliant and very helpful. The room is clean and comfortable.

EstoniaThe ladies in the front desk made my stay, really friendly, perfect english, always smiling, felt like i was very welcome there. Room and especially the balcony was amazing. Hotel is in a gated area with many restaurants and activities within this area so you feel safe since no outsider can get in - a bonus for those that worry about safety.

GermanyThe menu available at the hotel was delicious, however the portions can be a bit bigger (I am comparing now with the menus available at the other restaurants along the coast in St. Raphäel).
The hotel is located in the Cap d'Esterel village which is overall stunning. The view of the Esterel massif and the bay of Agay are breathtaking and you can enjoy the spectacular view from your rooms balcony. We also enjoyed the beautiful architecture, the colorful flowers, the two pools available, one of them with waves. The village has all that you need, restaurants, bars and small cosy boutiques. On top of that there are sport activities and entertainment programme organised for tourists. Even a Provencal marketplace was organised during our stay. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. Its a place of superlatives and we want to visit it again.
