The front door had a door code which seemed to start rather early in the evening! The keypad was a bit dark so I had to use my phone torch. Very minor problem.

Great location.quiet but near all services, near the funicular and near where my footpath entered the village. Kind and helpful staff, eg efficiently and cheerfully organised a taxi transfer for me. Room nice with great views and balcony with flowers. I enjoyed the eco lighting in the halls on timers and the fact the hotel had not been unnecessarily "modernised" . Plentiful breakfast with hot coffee.

The bathroom was a little dated but not a huge issue, it’s a hotel for skiing your not there for a spa

A wonderful stay and a great little hotel right in the heart of Val Claret

The wifi was a bit slow at times tbh, but I think that's it as far as negatives go. The separate room for the toilet was very narrow and maybe that the fact that the bath wasn't a full bath might put someone off, but that's the usual French 'sit-in', but the shower was great, hot and always available.

my room was very cozy with all the wood cladding and nicely decorated wardrobe doors and all, and it had a wonderful west-facing balcony. The heating was easy to tune and so was the window on tilt for a bit of fresh air. The curtains were really dark, so that you darken the room very well at night and not be disturbed until morning. The dinner every evening was brilliant, 5 small courses with plenty of food and variety, albeit mostly a mixed/carnivore diet. The breakfast was just as good with plenty to chose from. Overall, a fantastic find right on the pistes!

Comfortable room and bed, small bathroom but warm, breakfast nice with fresh pastries and bread and ham and cheese, etc. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Cute bar to sit in if you fancied a drink. Great location next to Tufts lift and town.

There was nothing we didn't like. Some areas could do with a bit of decoration but that has no effect on the overall experience.

This hotel suited us very well as we value a friendly ambience and good food over fancy decor. Keen skiers need a comfortable bed, a hot shower a healthy breakfast and wholesome dinner, and the Vanoise provided all these at a reasonable price. All the staff were very attentive.

Honestly ... there wasn't anything I didn't like, but then I'm not fussy and looking for things to complain about.

This is a 2 star hotel but it must be one of the best. It's a family run hotel and ALL the staff were fantastic. Very welcoming, helpful and they like to chat and get to know you. The booking I had was B&B but the hotel offered a 3 course set dinner every evening for just Euro 25. Great value ... home cooked food and something different every day. In fact It was more than 3 courses (it was soup, choice of 2 starters, main course, desert and then the cheese board ! Breakfast is cereals, yoghurts, bread, ham and cheese or you can boil an egg. Toast as well and fruit. Rooms are cleaned every day if you wish (just leave the "label" on the door to indicate this after you've left the room. I've seen comments about small bathrooms and yes mine was small and the shower was snug. If you want a larger bathroom then pay a little more and book a superior double/twin room where I believe the toilet is separate. But you know I'm not spending much time in it so what's the big deal ? Other than that I had enough storage space, the bed was very comfortable and plenty of room. There is a small bar which is very nice and a separate side room with sofas and chairs. Also on a lower level by reception there is another lounge room to relax in and play board games perhaps ? An outside staircase from the bar takes you down to the snow and the TUFS chair lift is literally 20m away so really is ski in/ski out. The boot room is just up the stairs from the main entrance. It always amuses me how some folk like to take photos showing a scratch on a wall or a bit of fluff on a pillow ... I mean seriously ? You probably have those things in your own homes !!! I really recommend this place. I spoke to guests there who keep returning which says it all.

The hotel is great value based on the location and the age of the property!

The breakfast was very good in terms of choice and access times. The hotel is adjacent to the Tuffs lift and you can drop down on your skis to the Bollin ski lift. If skiing is your priority then you can’t beat the location

The bathroom was a tiny bit small, but we weren't there for the bathroom. Other than that, we loved all of it.

First, the staff was SOOOO helpful and welcoming. The location was amazing - we literally skied down to the lift and then right back to the hotel at the end of the day. There are 5 different "neighborhoods" to stay in at Tinges. This is the top neighborhood, and closest to the funicular that takes you to the tippy top. It is an active neighborhood that has fun bars and nightclubs. I would highly recommend it. Breakfast was lovely. There were a ton of restaurants nearby that provided a ton of different options.

Decor was tired and a little dated

Location could not be better. Staff were excellent, very considerate and spoke English which was a help. The room was quiet and comfortable and the ambience was a small family-run cosy hotel. Breakfast was good. Evening meals were to a set menu but good home cooking and generous. Facilities were what you would expect with a 2 star hotel

Only thing for me was that my room was a bit cold, despite the radiator being up full. Potentially just because my room was at the top floor. The radiator was only warm at the top, not the bottom. But there were extra duvets in the cupboard which solved the problem.

Fantastic location, right by the Tufs lift, so ski in and ski out and very close to lots of bars and restaurants, and opposite the elevator to get to ground level and the bus stop All the staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. Lovely breakfast jn the morning, very relaxed atmosphere to the hotel. Bedroom was very clean and tended too every day.
