Perfect location at end of the old bridge and on a quiet (pedestrian) street with a good choice of bars & restaurants. Only 10 mins walk up to the old city and 15 mins walk to the train station. Our room was massive and the bed was very comfortable. Kettle and fridge in room too. Catherine was very welcoming and the breakfasts were amazing … lots of home made goodies to enjoy! Would definitely return and highly recommend!

A beautiful property ideally situated close to the old city walls. An excellent breakfast which enjoyed the personal touch of our kind hostess. Amazing value for money.

Pillows were uncomfortable and the bathroom door didn't close correctly (it seemed to be the wrong size for the opening)

Beautiful (and spacious!) rooms, very comfortable bed, and perfect location just outside the walls of Carcassonne. Catherine, the host, is super nice and welcoming! Would definitely stay again!

The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated with tasteful accessories. The bedding was lovely. The addition of bathroom toiletries was a great addition. The air conditioning worked well.

Our room was so beautiful and spacious. The bed was very comfortable, as was the entire property and the rest of the house. Breakfast was delicious and always so freshly prepared. The location is perfect, a short 8-10 minute walk from the Chateaux so you’re amongst the beauty without it being too loud. Shops, restaurants and cafes are at your door step. Host was incredibly friendly and welcoming too.

This guest house was lovely and we enjoyed a French breakfast every morning. Thankful for the air conditioning as it was so hot while we were there. The owner Catherine was so nice and willing to help however she could. I would highly recommend this guest house.

Perfect location next to the old bridge between the two cities. Small family run bars and restaurants further along the street were so convenient with friendly patrons. La Maison Vieille is incredible; a beautifully furnished house with large well appointed bedrooms, air conditioned. Comfortable communal lounge and a courtyard garden were real bonuses and allowed us to escape the heat and have a rest in the afternoon. Katherine and her staff were warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Our room had a kettle, hair dryer, shampoo and body wash in the shower. We would 100% return!

Credit card not accepted, and when we tried to do a bank transfer from English account to french it wouldn't work for us or another couple staying here, so we had to go into town and find a cash machine, which charged us 20 euros to withdraw the cash....☹️

Absolutely beautiful accommodation, our room was above and beyond what we had expected. Lovely staff and host who prepared a wonderful breakfast each morning

Couldnt open windows fully due to window blinds. Nobody around during day but there was a phone number to ring. Rain shower head needed a decal.

Bath towels little bit thin, could do with replacing.

Comfortable and clean. Great location. Great view of castle from room. Quiet location. Some great restaurants close by. Lovely wine bar few doors away.
