A little out of the way for restaurants unless prepared for ten minute walk plus a tram ride. Otherwise not much to dislike!

Love the house and garden. Our bedroom was in the oldest part of the property with its own entrance. Huge room and lovely en-suite. Really comfortable bed. Great breakfasts and a host &hostess who were really helpful and informative about the area. Easy to get onto main transport links. Electric vehicle charging (extra cost) at the house was very convenient.

We stayed in the family room which had a main bedroom with a joined bedroom for our student daughter - which she relished as it had a door and protected her from our snores! The Breakfast was lovely as our hosts provided us with a range of homemade jams to accompany a selection of breads - the homemade yoghurt was delicious! The hosts are very friendly and were able to share ideas of places to visit. La Heraudiere is only a short 5 min drive from Tours where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from for an evening meal. Tours is a bustling city with some wonderful attractions and well worth exploring

Only the difficulty in manoeuvring the car with the trailer.

First impression - the house is beautiful and soooo French! The gateway into the property's parking area is a bit narrow and the parking area, particularly as we had a trailer, was very tight. The room was characterful, beautifully furnished and very authentic, but with modern touches. We loved our stay here and although we had trouble finding a bus stop into town, we're so glad we persevered, as Tours was buzzing with lots of bars and restaurants.

Nothing really. It is not located walking distance from downtown, which was not an issue for us but could be inconvenient if you don’t have a car.

The owners were very attentive and friendly. The property has a nice garden to sit down and enjoy the afternoon after a long day visiting wineries. Everything was clean and breakfast was delicious.

Garden overgrown and unkempt - not like the photograph. All guests share the same breakfast table, which was slightly awkward with strangers. Rather hushed stifled conversation and strained politeness.

Nothing to complain.

Delightful historic house set in large garden area located in North of central Tours, with ample on site parking. The family owners were very welcoming and helpful, and served a very pleasant breakfast. Our upstairs room had comfortable beds. Wooden beams created a charming eighteenth century atmosphere.

Breakfast was the standard continental with homemade jams which were excellent. Our hosts made us feel at home and we enjoyed our stay. The room was in the back of the house and quiet and comfortable. We parked on the street in front of and across the street from the house.

The house is a well decorated traditional property on the outskirts of Tours but within an easy tram ride of the centre. Our host was extremely helpful in finding a local garage for us when we had a technical problem with the car. Our hosts were warm and accommodating and the room and bathroom were to a high standard. We had an enjoyable breakfast

Only issue was location which on a good day was a lovely 40 minute walk to centre but on a bad day, there was a 12 minute walk to tram which was well described by our host

Like stepping into old world France, this was an exceptional property of old world and charm with modern facilities.

When we arrived the original room we were given did not have a lock on the door, we were uncomfortable about this but the next morning after querying this we were reallocated a very nice room.

Lovely hosts and nice spacious clean rooms. Great to have air con in the room. The hotel is in lovely secure grounds with free parking. The building looks great and is very elegant.

The homemade yogurt and jams were delicious, but the personal attention to our needs was exceptional as was the warm greeting and comfortable accommodation. We had more time to explore the beautiful city of Tours due to the efforts Dominique made on our behalf.
