Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location was fabulous a 35 min walk to the centre of Gordes. The owners are lovely and the fire is in a lovely location if you enjoy tranquility.

United KingdomThe WIFI was pretty much unusable, this wasnt a massive problem as there was a good 4G signal. The walk into Gordes was a lot further than we anticipated. This is no reflection on the hosts description we just didnt do our research.
The property was beautiful and the setting magnificent. The hosts were very friendly

United StatesIt was one of our most memorable stays at Annie’s cottage which she refers to as her paradise. We spent 5 nights at La Galejade. We walked into a cute little cottage. It was great for the two of us. The cottage met our needs as we were looking for a quiet, peaceful, farmhouse stay. Cottage was very cozy. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. The kitchen has all the utensils. We cooked dinner few nights. The bathroom is basic but good and has all the amenities. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner. We were working from the cottage in the evening and Annie had shared with us that wifi was not strong. Upon arrival my husband figured out a way to get the internet to work. We needed a large extension cord which Annie graciously offered from her house and made sure we got what we needed. The outdoor seating is the highlight. Its so relaxing. Annie checked with us every day to ensure we were comfortable. The location is perfect. Every day we went to a new village for lunch. Most all villages are within 10-15 min driving distance. Annie gave us great restaurant recommendations. La Terrace in Joucas was superb. We went there twice. We connected and bonded very well with Annie and Patrick and they invited us over for dinner. Annie and Patrick were very kind, generous and extremely affectionate and opened their house to us. We didn’t speak french, Patrick didn’t speak english and with my broken french we spent hours chatting and we understood each other. We had our last drink at Annie and Patrick’s house. It was a bit emotional as I felt we knew them for a long time. We were touched by the love and care Annie offered. We felt like home and with family. La Petit Galejade is home away from home. We left our heart at Annie’s cottage. We will return soon. Miss you Annie
