The receptionist/host was particularly helpful about my arrival and in suggesting places for dinner. The location is as central as can be and the characterful old building has lots of charm. Breakfast was excellent, good coffee and plenty of it, and good bread, jams, honey etc.

A hidden gem. The guy who runs the hotel was super helpful. It is a quirky hotel with attention to detail. Breakfast was lovely and we could choose the timing. Would definitely recommend.

Great location just by the fortress walls. Easy walking to town, restaurant and historical section. The house and staircase is 15th century! The host was very welcoming and spoke good English. Excellent stay. Highly recommended.

A beautiful building full of character located right by the castle! Free public parking is available by the which is about 1 minute walk to the guest house. We stayed in a twin room for one night which was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The decor and furnishings fitted well with the historic building and location. Our host was very welcoming and helpful who recommended several local restaurants. We booked a table at the French Restaurant almost opposite the guest house main entrance. You need to book but i can recommend the food and service! I hope to visit again in the near future.

The stairs were a bit rickety, I knew there were some, but didn’t expect them to be so hard to manoeuvre . Pictures in the internet were nothing like the real thing!

I need Wifi to work, and the network was hit and miss. Signal's fine to read emails but not strong enough to watch or upload videos (those old walls don't like cell signals either.)

Perfect location in the heart of town, across from the old city walls. Quiet street, and free parking nearby. Attentive service, pretty, elegant room, well equipped. Delicious breakfast.

Location was excellent, in center of town, near all amenities. Accommodation difficult to find as part of it is on a pedestrianised street. But the proprietor was extremely helpful and collected our car from the main square and parked it close to house. Again he was extremely helpful re dinner recommendations and booking. Property is very old and charming but maybe not suitable for people whose footing is not good as stairs are very old and narrow.

Very, very little, except there wasn't a holder for the toilet roll in the toilet/bathroom.

Everything. Exceptional hotel. Nothing was too much for the very, very helpful owner/staff. Even though we had limited ability in speaking French, the owner went out of his way to help us during our visit. Beautiful really old property, which dates from the 16th Century. But with really up to date rooms and facilities. They even moved us to a bigger room than we had booked at no extra cost. Can recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Loche
