Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing.
Antony was an incredible and thoughtful host who has clearly put a lot of care and thought into his B&B. The room was very comfortable and had everything that we needed for a 3 night stay, and was a pleasant 15 minute walk into the city centre. The breakfast was lovely. Great host and great rooms. Will be back when we come to visit Bordeaux.

United StatesThe only thing coming to mind is the lack of some type of furniture to store, undergarments, t-shirts, socks.
Wonderful breakfast. Location very close to tram station. Laundromat close by, multitude of shops nearby. Owner very welcoming and helpful with personal knowledge and available maps and brochures.

Cozy B&B with 5 guests rooms within walking distance to some major attractions. Trams are near by as well.

RomaniaThe location - a little far from the center. Suggestion - a shower curtain would be good.
A particularly clean room. Antone is a kind guy, very attentive to details, and helpful. What is unique is the fact that you leave your shoes at the entrance, in a closet, and you receive house slippers. We would have liked a slightly richer breakfast, coming from a country where this is important. It was left in front of the door every morning, from 8 o'clock. Good and fresh products. The accommodation is close to Jardin Public, a beautiful park full of magnolias. Too bad the closing time is so early...

United StatesNothing - everything was perfect.
My stay at La Belle Endormie was amazing. Antone is a wonderful host who gave me tips on things to do and where to eat in Bordeaux. The room was immaculately clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location could not be better - on a very quiet street but also close to the center of the city. I loved that La Belle Endormie was only steps away from a lovely park where I could go for walks. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and plan to return the next time I travel to Bordeaux

SpainI can't think of anything I didn't like! But just for information purposes. There is no elevator so ask for a ground floor room if you can't do stairs!!
Our whole experience from start to finish was excellent. We had two rooms and they were both gorgeous. Our host carried our bags up to our rooms and then shared with us some of the best spots in Bordeaux. The rooms had AC which is not always the case in Europe. Each morning the host delivered breakfast to the door(which was one of my favourite parts!). The attention to detail really added to the overall experience. Snacks and drinks were available to purchase but there was also a great coffee machine. The B&B was located right by the public garden which is beautiful but also an easy shortcut into the old part of town. If I am ever in Bordeaux again, this is where I will be staying.

Couldn’t fault our stay - Antony was the most amazing host and went out of his way to be helpful. Great recommendations for local attractions and restaurants (we loved Mirabelle!). The room is huge with all the extras you could think you might need - plus spotlessly clean, great shower, comfortable bed and soft towels. Location is walking distance to the centre and lots of restaurants etc. The breakfast delivered to your room every morning is top quality and absolutely delicious. Such a great stay and would highly recommend if you are staying in Bordeaux!

The room was immaculate, very stylish with all the conveniences, including TV streaming platforms and instant hot water. United StatesLocation is fine. Wish it was on the other side of the park. It was nice walking through the gardens to head into town, but the park closes at 1900/2000, so you have to walk around it if you come in later than that.

We were greeted upon arrival. We loved the amenities. The breakfasts were superb! When we needed an earlier breakfast, it was accommodated. Our luggage was held on the last day. United StatesOnly a couple of things that were a bit strange, but not necessarily bad. Just things that are a little different from a hotel because it's a B&B - there seems to be only one steamer for 5 rooms and you have to communicate with Antony directly to get it, so there can be a delay in when you use it. And you have to remove your street shoes outside the door to the room (even though the room is tile, not carpet). You're supposed to wear little foam shoes he gives you. The cleaners also arrange and move stuff around in the room when they clean, and take all street shoes and put them in the cubby in the hall. Again, our stay was awesome and we would absolutely stay again. I'd just bring some grippy socks for the room, ha.
We had an amazing stay - Antony (the owner) offered us so much good advice on Bordeaux restaurants and tours, and thought of pretty much everything in the room! It was comfortable (especially the bed) and clean. The room was also much bigger than we expected, which is unusual for France. Usually rooms are smaller than expected :) The breakfast was amazing! The B&B is in a more residential area of Bordeaux near the big, public park and we could easily walk to everything within 5-20 minutes. We are picky travelers and we'd definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again!
