Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

NetherlandsActually nothing that should stop you from visiting this place. If i have to name something, it can get pretty warm in some rooms, but bearable (begin september). Personally i would either prefer an airco in every room or (to save energy in these harsh times..) some fly screens so that you can keep the windows open for fresh air, so that you don't have to hunt flys in the evening. :)
Rarely we've experienced such amazing hospitality as we've had here. Either for travel advice, discussing what we wanted to eat in the evening (definitely recommend you to do so!) or any other question, Benoit gives you the feeling of being truly a guest at his maison. Besides this, the place in itself is clean and has authentic look, which makes it a great place to stay. We've booked the appartment (max 7 persons), which is very characteristic and recommendable. Thanx Benoit & Annelie for this great experience!

UkraineIn the Saint Jean de Ceyrargues there is beautiful house "L'Autre Maison" . Its owner Benoit made a big discount for Ukrainians, so our family stayed in one huge room (where there was one large double bed and 3 single beds) was comfortable and lovely. Really great breakfast we had for free. The owner was very nice and gave us coconut cookies and various other delicacies. We also asked for glasses for wine, he gladly provided everything we needed. In addition, he kept asking if we might need something else, and kindly made sure we had everything we needed. The owner has a wonderful dog, which the children loved and played with it all the time. Separately, I want to write about the interior of the house, it's just incredible. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Everything around was very cozy and nice. I would love to come back here again!

Unique building of the 18th century Amazing cleanliness in a beautifully decorated room Fantastic dinner prepared by the owner of the hotel, who is an excellent chef And of course, a wonderful dog named Leo is the highlight of this place. We got unforgettable impressions from our stay here. A high level of service, stylish design, perfect cleanliness, attentiveness, customer focus and kindness of the owners - this is what certainly distinguishes this wonderful hotel from all others. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel as an amazing place to stay. I am absolutely sure that every visitor will be delighted.

The place is beautiful. Very well kept. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. You can tell he loves hosting. Unfortunately, we stayed for one night as we were passing through and we would have loved to stay longer. The food was excellent and and along with the music and decor it felt like we in a 5 star hotel with a cozy homey feel.
