The property itself has no views and, after dark, curtains need to be kept drawn for privacy. Not a big issue, as the views 20 metres away on the bridge are wonderful.

Great location on the island in the middle of the Loire, connected by two bridges to the mainland. Old town and chateau within easy walking distance, 12-15 minutes walk from railway station. Delightful host made special efforts to make us welcome, including buying in some extras for Asian-style breakfast. Own parking space outside the garage door.

Thoughtful host. She welcomed us upon arrival. She left us breakfast rolls and water for our stay and later came back with waffles on our last evening. What a delightful apartment to stay in for a few days. Lots of light and space for a studio. The apartment was well appointed with spices, food items, paper towels, shampoo, linens, towels; everything you would have at home that is difficult to travel with and some hosts don't supply. The location is great within 10 minutes to the train and 5 minutes to city center. Very quiet.

Leaving! I would liked to have stayed longer!

The location was perfect with parking at the door. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable. Every possible item wanted by travellers was on hand including a washer and dryer. Roselyne, the owner, greeted you on arrival and offered food like bread, butter, croissants etc for guests. She was a marvellous hostess and I would absolutely commend her apartment as a home away from home in Amboise.

Roselyne is a very friendly and helpful host. Château d'Amboise is at walkable distance. As others have mentioned, parking is just in front of the house and there are enough places to eat (especially near the Château). It is very beautiful to walk along the river shore during evening (in June).

Lovely location close to town centre with view of the Chareau and near a sandy beach on the river. The owner was very helpful and kind. She told us about a music festival happening the night we arrived and took me to her garage to get a new tyre to replace the one that blew on the motorway!!

Should have stayed longer...

Such a great, supportive host, and a stellar location from which to visit Amboise and the Chateaux. We had a rental car and easily visited 5 in three full days. The host is very helpful with many thoughtful touches to make you more comfortable during your stay. The apartment is not luxurious, but clean and practical, perfect for our needs with a well-equiped kitchen and washing machine in the adjoining converted garage. Based on the pins on the world map in the bedroom, guests from all over the world have stayed there.

It can be a little damp, but it's not a problem.

A great, quiet location with a great host. parking is literally at your door (as the apartment is off a garage). Great to have a kitchen and washer/dryer to use. Strongest shower in France!

The location is perfect. The Loire is 50m from the front door, there's a nice restaurant, Le Salamander, across the road and the town centre is just across the bridge. Roselyne is the most wonderful host, nothing is too much trouble. There was wine in the fridge and croissants etc awaiting our arrival. Just one thing perhaps, she has a lovely little cat who will approach you....in case you're not cat people. We are, and had no problem. The double ded is a pull down sofa, which was fine by us. And a single bed.

Tremendous Hospitality, HUD muffins that were home-cooked Freddy for us as well as beverages. Size of the place was perfect. Washer and dryer were helpful as well as the kitchenette.

Some places are memorable due to their location, others due to their convenience. L'Amboiselyne combines both: a little appartment, with all fascilities a little family as ours could wish for, (and very convenient parking place just outside the door) in the beautiful Ile d'Or, in walking distance from the castle and city center of Amboise, with a Pizzeria opposite to it and fantastic quiteness at night despite its proximity to a main road. However, what we will mostly remember Amboiselyne for is its host, Mrs Roselyn. This was French hospitality at its finest. When we left, I felt the sweet feeling like if I had been hosted by a dear aunt of mine. Sincere thanks to you; we hope to see you again :-)
