Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeBeautiful house managed by super friendly hosts. The room including the bed is very comfortable and the breakfast full of homemade ingredients simply delicious. The hosts used to run a professional restaurant in Singapore. They took the high quality service standards of their previous life to the beautiful environment of Kerbeleg. A match made in heaven!

Czech RepublicI would probably mention the only thing - everything was so nice and tidy that I was a little afraid that my children (aged 7 and 9) could mess something up - but that's probably more my problem :-) And luckily it was not the case :-)
The very nice reception and hospitality and openness of the owners were great! We felt very good indeed. The beauty of the building and of the rooms is also worth noting. Breakfast was excellent. It was also great to receive all the supplementary information and tips where to go and what to visit - much appreciated!

An unforgettable stay in a spectacular old stone manor house in the heart of the quiet countryside. Songbirds and owls were all we heard. Our room was enormous with a huge old granite fireplace and a very comfortable double bed. Fabien and Verena were very warm and generous hosts, always ready to make our stay extra-special. Fabien found answers to all our questions, even emailing them to us as we travelled around the area. He produced recommended visits and routes to add to our pleasure. A joy to visit.

We were fortunate to spend five wonderful nights at this historical manor house lovingly restored by Verana and Fabien who were so welcoming and made us feel at home.Verana gave us a thorough induction on arrival and availed herself to any assistance or advice we might need. The location is perfect - in the countryside but a short drive to Pont Aven,a beautiful artist town were you could easily and we did while away a few days. The town attracted the likes of impressionists Gaugin Bernard and Serusier to name a few. The manor has many of the original features of 15th century and you sense its history. We had a spacious room on upper floor with all the comforts amenities and facilities. There was no possibility of creating individual toilets in the two ensuite rooms due to preservation of its historical structure so there was a shared toilet which was not a concern for us The breakfast was very french in terms of croissant baguette and confiture but also very healthy with homemade yoghurts and cereal with fresh fruits and eggs anyway On our last night of our five night stay we joined them for an aperol spritz and canapés - this was so generous and kind on their part. We can only recommend this haven or hidden gem for a few nights or even more to explore what the region has to offer

United KingdomCareful! Staying at Véréna’s and Fabien’s property will potentially change the way you approach B&Bs for ever. They will raise the bar so high that you’ll have to consider that this might be the last place you will ever want to stay at. What we commonly refer to as home. Thank you both for the stay! I can’t wait to come back.

KenyaVéréna and Fabien are extraordinary hosts with a lot talent and a great taste. Their home is very beautiful and cozy. I could see that Véréna and Fabien have traveled a lot and it seems they puzzled all the great things they encountered into their B&B. I was also thankful for borrowing their bike and having dinner together in the evening 😍
