Access to the spa area was under construction, but that was not a big deal, the fitness center and the pool are nice.

After having stayed at this hotel once in the 1990s for a work-related training event, I had fond memories and always wanted to return. I now have the same fond memories snd would certainly return. It is of course one of the pricier venues in Annecy, but the location is priceless. Staff were all friendly and competent. I read some reviewers did not like the way their rooms were furnished and decorated, but we loved it. The interior of the hotel - our room, the restaurant and bar, the spa - is a nice modern contrast to the regal exterior.

Room we had was on 8th floor , with a large porthole type opening , I expected a Juliet tbh but alas not . Great view of lake though .Room although roomy and clean ,felt not much more than an upmarket holiday Inn express. Corridors seemed better appointed than rooms ie designer carpets , wall decor . Carpets would of made a more luxurious feel and a decent window . Perhaps adding a bit more cash might get it , we paid £300 for the night with no breakfast inc.

Beautiful imposing building Obviously been spent on to keep updated as much as possible . Spa is very nice , mineral based pool ,not a pool for proper swimming but beautiful . Steam and sauna great. Bar area is massive and staff very attentive.

The location is stunning, with a southerly outlook on the lake. It's an easy 20 minute stroll into old Annecy. Well worth hiring a bike from the hotel to cycle around the lake. Staff delightful, especially concierge & reception.

The main restaurant was closed for renovations when we were there. So can’t comment on what this was like.

It was a superb setting at the head of Lake Annecy. The views were stunning. We also arrived to a special surprise bottle of champagne in our room as a celebration for our 25th wedding anniversary and a delicious gateaux. It made us feel really special. Food was exceptional.

Wait staff at breakfast especially the gentleman was pretentious if not rude. Only to foreigners it appeared. How do they not understand that the first engagement of the day is the most important. AC didn’t work properly and pillows are very uncomfortable.

The property and room were beautiful. They upgraded us to a family suite from a double room which was a welcome and unexpected surprise. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, especially the bellman who gave me great recommendations for running. We would definitely stay here again!

Imperial Palace is the best hotel I have stayed at my France trip this time. We traveled in France for 19 days, from Paris, to Mount Saint Michel, to Central Lories Chateau area, then to Lyon, Marselle, Annecy, back to Paris. We are more satisfied with Imperial Palace than Paris Hilton Opera, not to mention the other hotels. The lake was beautiful, town was gorgeous, service is friendly, everything left us a beautiful memory. We'll stay in Imperial Palace again, if we will visit Annecy in the future.
