Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe one member of staff told us the restaurant was not open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday! And that she could not offer a bar snack. It was only when we pointed out to her on the web it said the bar snacks were available every day and another lady appeared who was very helpful and gave us a menu to choose from.

Mainly everything was perfect until… you are not allowed to pay by cash… as I had to travel for business I was given cash to pay for my accommodation, which was a pain and I had to use my personal card to make the online payment. Not happy with the strict verdict of the payments options - when it comes to payments… there should be 24/7 access to pay with cash i.e. cards or on line… Please do something about it and comfort your tired and overworked customers to make a “fast payment” and go to bed. Wasn’t that’s the reason the hotels where invented???… …very upset..

BelgiumOur room smelled terribly of smoke. It was very irritating to our allergies and even with the windows wide open we could not get rid of the smell.
The lobby area was great for hanging out, with lots of outlets and a free coffee / tea machine. The weather was rainy and so it was easy to order food from Takeaway and have it delivered at the hotel to enjoy a hot meal. Our bed was pretty comfortable as well, WiFi worked well.

India1. There was no lift and it was difficult to carry my baggage over the stairs. 2. They were quite strict on the checking time of 3 pm ( probably it may be because they had no rooms ready), I had to go and while away my time from 11 am till 2 pm when I was provided a room. 3. There was no courtesy coffee/tea provision in the room which most hotels provide. 4. There was not even a bottle of water provided as a courtesy. 5. Please try to make good if you can so that you can get full stars.
Staff were very friendly. Rooms are clean though very small. Linen and towels were clean and neat. Breakfast was, though not lavish , a decent fare.

JerseyThe room we paid for (couple bedroom) was very small and we couldn't even walk arround - not even near like the photos on the website! The light in the bathroom wasn't working properly (flashing all the time), the water in the bathroom wasn't working properly as we couldn't get proper warm water, the towels were very rough and the room was very noisy!
