Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeyInternet is poor.
It's not too close to public transportation but very easy to walk and you can reach Metro in 10 min walking. Rooms are OK for 2 people. Don't bring more than 1 big luggage. Breakfast is ok and value for money.

LebanonThe room is too small. We didn't have space around the bed to open our luggages. I've been to ibis budget before, and had just enough extra space.
It's a small, clean room. Location isn't bad. 10 min from tram station and about 12-15 min from the metro.

United KingdomThe air conditioning did not work and we were left freezing most nights with very thin blankets. Public transport was still about 10-20 minutes walk however there are lots of restaurants nearby which are cheap prices so the area is great.
It had everything we needed and it was a lovely and clean place. It wasn’t perfect but it was a great place for the price and we spent most our days out anyways. The staff greeted us with a smile and politeness, it was a great first impression!

United KingdomRoom was small but reasonable size, bunk bed made noise, no soap liquid for handwashing, no bathroom door towel, and only one of two lights in bedroom was working. Outside the building was quiet but in the morning saw 2 cars’s windows were smashed in so the area needed more security or policing at night otherwise we felt safe staying inside the hotel, thank you.
Staff were nice and friendly, room was clean and tidy, we could see the Eiffel Tower from our room, quick check in and out, and it was not too far from public transports.

CanadaThe rooms are small, but you do pay for what you get. We stayed 3 people and it was hard to fit all of our stuff around the room because of how small it was but we made it work. The beds are also a bit too hard.
The price makes sense for the room as it is very small. Its close to the metro which takes you to the city so travelling within Paris was very easy. Shower was great!

DenmarkWe book the room for three people but the hotel only prepare the towels for two. We need to ask for extra towels. The bathroom also doesn't have a towel mat. They also don't prepare the bunk beds for the kids, so we need to prepare it on our own.
Small room, as expected from a budget hotel. Good for short stay if you don't need to spend much time in the hotel. Better bathroom than the other Ibis budget I've been to.

EgyptOf course rooms are very tight but what I heared this normal in Paris. The main thing that I didn't like were the bathroom facilities, like there was not soap at least, only the soap dispenser int he shower.
Hotel was cozy, near to Metro station and so in 30 minutes you can be in city center. Staff were nice and friendly

SerbiaTraffic noise from Périphérique if you leave the window open. I think they didn't change our bed sheets for a 6 days stay. Once, when we got from the outside, the door of our room was not completely closed. Although, nothing was missing and we didn't keep anything precious in the room, that wasn't a nice thing to see. I reported that to the reception, she just noted the number of the room, but we didn't get any kind of appollogy or we weren't shown some mark of regret.
Perfect location near the metro line 7. Lots of bakeries, affordable restaurants and supermarkets like Lidl. The room was comfortable, bed also, not too spacious.

North MacedoniaNo soap. Apparently we were to use the body wash (slash shampoo) as soap even though the dispenser was bound to the wall of the showering area.. You can see it in the picture. Yes, we had to dip into the shower area every time we washed our hands. This is the reason for a 7 instead of an 8 as I think they barely saved a penny making it this annoying for customers to wash their hands. Location is a bit far, but only about 6 minutes to the nearest metro station. No hairdryer, but then again they never promised any. But guess what, it had a TV. Do most tourists spend their short stay in Paris watching TV? It's inexplicable to me how this appliance was prioritized over a hairdryer.
It was clean and had everything that was promised. Was cleaned every day. Shower worked great.

United KingdomLocated near a busy road, so I couldn’t open the window even on 7th floor, because it was very loud, even at night. The towels weren’t immaculate and the hand wash basin was blocked, the water was running down slowly.
The location is good, access to the centre is easy.

HungaryAlthough we arrived at around 14:00, unfortunately one of our rooms had not been cleaned. Of course, they did it quickly, after we noted the reception, but it was inconvenient to wait in the other room until then. It's true that the rooms are very small, and there is not so much space for the luggages. It takes a lot of public transport to get to the sights of Paris, but the metro stops are close by.
We only stayed at the hotel to sleep and it was perfect for that. We had everything we needed, we can say that generally the hotel was clean, and finally a place with normal water pressure and normal hot water in the shower. The staff were also nice and the reception was very helpful with all our requests. Even though the road is relatively close, the noise was absolutely not disturbing if we closed the window.
