Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI wouldn’t say there was anything I didn’t like . The only thing I would say with the rooms been small we did struggle with storage of suitcase when having 2 cases not a lot of storage areas on hanging space . Maybe some kind of drawers although space would be tight.
The property was a lovely boutique hotel . We were always able to get a sun lounger by the pool and they were comfortable.

United StatesThe location is not in St Paul de Vence
The rooms are great with jacuzzi, fluffy towels and nice bleiben and furniture. The pool is nice and the bfast very romantic in the garden. The hotel manager went beyond to help us. My dress got lost by the laundry service and the hotel manager Mathieu went to the facility to retrieve it and brought it to us the next day. Fantastic service!

United KingdomThe tv in the room appeared to have a very bad signal.
Breakfast was good , the room a good size and pool was excellent, parking was good but car park is on the small size. The walk to the town started along the main road for about 300 metres and then there is a path . The town is worth a visit. The staff were excellent.

Lovely little hotel with charming decorations and design. Location was fantastic, as it is super close to the old town of St Paul de Vence and the Fondation Maeght

United KingdomAlthough only a 15 min walk to St Paul de Vence it is uphill and along a busy road with no pavement. The staff informed us of a tiny detour to avoid the most dangerous piece of road which was helpful. We did not have a car so always had to walk. St Paul de Vence although very pretty is very much a tourist spot. Busy in the day but much nicer at night with some good restaurants. However no shop or bakery at all selling any food provisions. Just a tabac selling overpriced water. This does make it difficult as the hotel only provides breakfast ( charge of 20 euros) and no other snacks at all during the day. They do offer Deliveroo. It therefore means if one has a pool day they will need to trek into town to pick up lunch in a cafe or pick up a sandwich from a kiosk so can be expensive and more problematic when raining which happened to us. Also if you are proposing to return for dinner in the evening a lot of waking up and down hills. Worst still is access to drinking water. The hotel only sells extremely small bottles (25ml) at 3.35 Euros each and really should provide at least carafes of chilled tap water as restaurants do. Summers can be hot and most people like to drink at least a litre daily so needs addressing.
It was nicely decorated not too big, had a pool and very close to St Paul de Vence

United KingdomWe didn’t have a car so the walk into St Paul De Vence was about 20 minutes which was fine. However, with it being a 4 star hotel, I did expect that we could buy something for lunch and some drinks. There was nothing available and worse still, no shops, cafes or bars close by. Breakfast was very limited so I asked for a boiled egg one morning to be told it would be 25 euros extra 🤣 No shower but a shower attachment on the tap in the bath so water went everywhere and no shower curtain. We asked to keep our room for a few hours extra but was told it wasn’t possible. Then sat and watched other guests vacate their rooms whenever they liked. No courtesy room so we had to change in reception.
Lovely clean property in a good location (if you have a car). Lovely pool and plenty of sunbeds. I have to say the robes in the rooms were luxurious!Great views of the village and landscape. Very peaceful.

United KingdomDid NOT like the small side window and door (plane glass)looking into the bathroom. It should be a private space.
We had a lovely time at the hotel, staff were friendly and very helpful, Shelley was just so helpful with any questions we had. The pool area was great, clean, good sunbeds very relaxing after a day out. Breakfast was good would have liked abit more variety, maybe eggs sometimes. Parking was abit tight but we managed to get the car in the space. The walk to eat at night was no problem as it was only 15mins away .Lovely restaurants in the walls of st.paul de vence,.There was a lounge in the hotel but did not use it as it was tucked away behind the front desk, didn't see anybody use it. It would have been nice to sit when you have just walked back from the 15 walk back from the restaurants, also no bar which would have been good. It would be welcoming to have the lounge at the front and the kitchen and reception at the back,(just a thought). We had a lovely room on the top floor with lovely views of pool and nice and sea. Overall a lovely hotel.

United KingdomWe would have liked it better if we could have had a simple snack at lunchtime. Just a little too far and too dangerous to walk to the village. However Laurent was a very good and reliable chauffeur.
Excellent breakfasts. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Very clean rooms. Good quality towels and bed linen, changed frequently. Towelling robes.

LatviaI’d suggest refurbishing bathroom and equipping the internal windowns to the bedroom with thicker curtains. It’s a little bit out of date. Nowhere near there is a decent grocery store. Bear in mind that the hotel has an outdated policy of not allowing “drinks from outside”.
The landscape that opens up and sounds of nature while sitting on the balcony are fabulous. The vibe is perfect. At least, when the hotel is half empty like during my stay. It’s something I highly recommend to enjoy. I wish I had time to spend here one more night. The standard rooms are not very spacious for 2 persons, however, the balcony compensates that inconvenience. Very delicious French breakfast. The hotel is easily reachable by public bus from both Vence and Nice.
