We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The owners were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. I was cycling and they provided secure bike storage in their personal garage. Breakfast was great, room was very comfortable.

United KingdomAlthough fresh croissant and baguette were provided each morning and there was lots of yoghurt, cheese and ham, we do like to have a mixed fruit salad at breakfast, which was not available. The owners were most attentive and lots of coffee and orange juice was provided.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. The Hotel was situated in a quiet location, but close to the seafront and several restaurants (although we preferred those in the nearby Carteret). There was ample parking outside the Hotel.

Friendly, professional owners with high standards. Breakfast attractively presented. Room immaculate. We were glad we had booked our evening meals in advance: one in Barneville and one in Carteret.

Franceit was very clean, newly decorated. location could have been better (i.e. seafront), but it would have cost twice as much. parking no problem. the owners were lovely and full of useful information. only a short drive to Cherbourg to catch the ferry. really good value for money.

I would have valued a small kettle within the room to make coffee, especially during the winter months, when he local cafes in the Plage area are closed, but this is, I fully accept, personal preference , and is only a very minor concern (I fully accept that I didn’t ask for a kettle)
what an amazing find! A totally wonderful small and personal hotel, with owners in Marlene and Dom who pull out all the stops to make sure their guests are happy and well catered for. As someone who has very limited french vocabulary and grammar, they both did their very best to explain things, and to offer recommendations and support in both languages. The room I was in (18) was smaller, but not uncomfortably so, and was warm, clean, well appointed and decorated, and well ventilated, with a very comfortable bed. The breakfasts offered (unfortunately, owing to COVID, the buffet breakfast has been suspended) was plentiful, and offers of additional food and coffee were most welcome. The quality of the room and hotel, allied with the exceptional service and welcome offered by Dom and Marlene, really made my stay delightful. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who values class, service and discretion. Thank you Dom and Marlene. You have been amazing
