Comfortable room with friendly service and good breakfast

The wifi did not work in our room (although the hotel is trying to fix this issue).

The hospitality from the staff was wonderful and the breakfasts were great (as great value)

there was construction in the hotel that was not mentioned before, even though there was no noise during the night. Breakfast a bit expensive:

Property doesn’t have a lift so might be hard for people with large luggage. Room is a bit small but very cosy.

Right next to the train and bus station, short walking distance to all the sightseeing areas.

Location of hotel is convenient to access most of the sights by foot. Breakfast spread is sufficient and met our needs. Room heating is also warm enough for our comfort.

We found the room a little too warm (even for winter conditions) and had to leave external door open at times to cool it down. The lift was out if order so lots of stairs.

The rooms were very nicely renovated with new fittings and fixtures in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the location perfect for access to train and bus, and exploring the town.

I didnt like leaving the keys on the reception every time i left the hotel. And then coming back, and requesting the same key from clerks. It was just an outdated step, felt like i was a kid.

The room was ready for an earlier time check-in, and as requested, they have put extra pillows on the bed. It was a clean, nice and quiet room, perfect for touring the downtown.

we found the room to be stuffy and warm in autumn and even though there was aircon in the room, we were not able to operate this independently as it was outside the summer months, so this is something to consider when booking.

breakfast was great - very decent continental and loved the fresh pastries available every day. Reasonably priced.

Although not a problem for me, I would advise caution to anyone with mobility challenges before staying here. The room and bathroom size were comfortable to an average-sized person BUT there were a number of ledges and level changes inside the bathroom, which might be trip hazards. I actually liked the bathroom layout for myself, but others with mobility or vision challenges might feel very differently. I was also surprised that there was no shelf inside the shower to place shampoo. Perhaps the concierge might have provided something if I had asked (to be clear, I did not try! my own fault). Otherwise the shower was beautiful with a rainshower-style showerhead and plenty of room. As mentioned by others, there is no elevator. Staff were willing to assist with luggage, though.

I very much enjoyed my stay here in a very comfortable and nicely-decorated room. The hotel was about a 1 minute walk from the train (helpful with my luggage!) and <10 minutes walk to the lake and old town areas. Shopping and restaurants surround the hotel. Staff were quite courteous and allowed me to store luggage outside of my check-in time. The room was clean and really comfortable and pleasant to be in after a day of vigorous exercise.

Bathroom smelt slightly of drain on the second day and room a little small.

Great location a few minutes walk from old town and over the road from bus station and train station. Many restaurants and bakeries nearby. Very friendly staff. Nice balcony. Good value for money.

Great central location, our room overlooked the road but not at all noisy, even with the busy bar across the street. Kind and helpful staff. Clean room and bathroom although a little on the small side.

The access is tricky. There's not much they can do about this but 3 nights on the 3rd floor with only a steep staircase can be congested and tiresome at times. The staff attitude is at times petty.

Fair value, location. It's close to the bus terminus and train station as well as the old town and lake.

Staff were polite but unfriendly. Felt like you were troubling them when asking for help. Can’t avoid these exchanges either as you have to leave the room key (physical key) and get it back from then whenever you leave the hotel. I lost an item there and have tried emailing and contacting the hotel through booking.com but have been ignored.

location, location, location - literally across the street from the train station and bus terminal. Simple, no frills rooms, clean. Hostel like feel
