Maybe the food was a bit expensive, but it was worth it.

We really liked the surroundings with the woods and possibilities to walk with our dog. Lovely to visit the waterfalls in the wood. Very nice staff, easy to park safe and really good food at the restaurant.

The hotel offers fine dining. We had a wonderful meal - several courses with paired wines. We were upgraded - the room was spacious and had a beautiful view over the countryside. Lovely!

We stayed here before many years ago, and the improvements to this hotel are impressive. The room was lovely and spacious, and we had a very good dinner and breakfast. The staff were all very friendly, and the surrounding area with the cascades is great for walking.

Lighting in dining room could have been more subdued...but the food was really amazing.

Beautiful location. Room was really lovely, very peaceful. Wonderful walks and very dog friendly. Lovely staff who went out of thier way to make our stay memorable. Definitely will return.

the room we were given was a little dated and this room wasn’t shown in any pictures on the website. The fan was very dusty and the bathroom very very basic.

Room was fine, however the restaurant is the high note. Also the location which allows a nice walk to the local waterfall and then on to the river source. Both menus were very good, the poached egg in truffle soup, beef and chocolate layers of the daily menu and the truffle soup. Veal sweetbreads, pork, cheese and plum desert of the ‘Menu Castel’. The most surprising dish was the liquid cheese of the cheese course, almost a mini fondue. The veal sweetbreads were nice and soft, maybe it’s the season but these seemed to be a popular menu entry on this trip.

Everything was great but we felt restaurant staff was a bit rude not helping us with the meals the language isnt our cup of tea. Felt uncomfortable. Only receptionist speak English well enough to understand.

Everything was here in one place..including restaurant. Being next to waterfall was a treat to hear and watch.

Being upgraded to a Demi Suite was an unexpected bonus. Lovely pool, open 24hrs which is nice. Really friendly staff on reception and in the restaurant. Dinner was superb!

Nothing, it was all perfect

It’s a real little gem that we feel very fortunate to have found. The location is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, we had a fantastic night stay here. We were really pleased with the super comfortable beds, clean rooms, a fridge and mini bar- not to mention they are dog friendly too. We were very lucky to have been treated to a room upgrade for both the rooms we booked, the upgrade was a lovely gesture and the suites were just lovely. We would highly recommend a visit if you are passing through the area.

The hotel does not have a lift so if you have a lot of luggage you will need help

An idyllic location surrounded by woods and waterfalls. We enjoyed gated parking. The hotel has a lovely outdoor pool and tennis court as well as being in the middle of a variety of hiking trails and trout fishing. The restaurant was excellent and we enjoyed a delicious meal paired with local wines. All the staff in this family owned hotel were very attentive.

We were not wild about dinner in the house restaurant. The food was fine, but the service was overly stiff. Although it is clear that a great deal of thought (and expense) has been put into the dining room's decor, for me the effect was spoiled by the harsh lighting: overhead fixtures emitting cold, blue-tinged light.

The room was lovely and the location is wonderful - a fairy-tale setting with fabulous waterfalls within a short walking distance. We also appreciated the fact that our dog was welcome, both in the room and in the dining- and breakfast rooms. The breakfast buffet was terrific!
