Very odd bedding. Expensive meals

Situated in a quiet village just north of Tours. We had the junior suite on the top floor of the main building. This was very comfortable apart from the bedding which had the new style of duvet covers - ribbed. This really was not to our liking. The main highlight was the fantastic food in the restaurant. Excellent but pricy.

We used the hotel as a rest stop, staying one night. The room was lovely, set in a building across the road from the main hotel with a small garden and parking lot at the rear. The highlight was the excellent restaurant where we had a fantastic dinner with great service.

The hotel is situated in a small village and there didn’t appear to be any alternative places to eat, so if you weren’t happy to pay the high prices in the hotel restaurant, that could be a problem. Having had amazing food in the restaurant, we were disappointed in breakfast the next morning. Small choice of bread, rolls, croissants etc. But no fresh fruit or fruit salads usually found in buffet breakfasts.

Although I had booked a standard room we were upgraded to a Junior Suite which was situated in the main building. The room was spacious with separate toilet and massive bathroom with bath, separate shower and washbasin fitted into large marble shelf. Decor was great and everything spotlessly clean. The restaurant was a complete surprise - we had expected a good restaurant but this one was on a Michelin-starred level, with prices to match! However the food was superb, and the weather was pleasant enough for us to eat outside in the very attractive small terrace.

Wonderful setting with a very comfortable charming room with everything we needed. The real star is the restaurant though, which would be worth a special trip. Exquisite food and service, and our two young girls were made to feel very special. It was also interesting to learn of the rich history.

We were asked in early May to decide whether we wanted to eat at the restaurant. I didn't reply because we not able to make a decision so far ahead. So there wasn't a table for us but the owner accommodated us in the bar for a superb meal.

It was a good stay. Staff were friendly. Restaurant was delicious codon-blue cuisine but was very expensive. Service first class. Room was comfortable. Good location from autoroute.

The only thing to watch when visiting is the narrow entrance into the secure car park. Not really a problem if you take your time to position your car in the road outside before attempting the entrance

The restaurant was excellent and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The highlight was the wonderful meal we had in the restaurant.

The accommodation is like a 'house hotel' and situated in a quiet village with some interesting sites to discover. We enjoyed a upgrade into a small suite. It was perfect and much enjoyed, the Nespresso coffee maker set the tone nicely!

Food quite expensive, but of very good quality, and some little extra taster dishes thrown in.

The best thing was the friendliness of the staff. The rooms were comfortable and provided everything we needed. Nice hand soap, too. Good parking facilities.

We had an excellent first stay here. We stayed with our two small dogs. The room was great, being just across the road from the restaurant. This made it feel more private. The room was very spacious, with a small fridge and a coffee machine. The bathroom had a bath and a shower and there was a separate toilet. We had a wonderful meal in the restaurant. I had been to a Michelin starred restaurant in London the day before and the food at this hotel was of a higher standard in my opinion. The host was extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.
