Staff, location, and cleanliness. It was a little outdated aesthetically, but it was perfect in everything else. Great morning coffee looking over the lake. I would recommend staying here. Also easy walk to the center of town.

Where to start? On check in, the older lady did not attempt to explain any of the basics other than where the toilet was in the room. No Wifi code given. Free parking on site is in fact public parking adjacent to the property, which on a summers evening is totally full of locals enjoying lac leman Blackout blind didn’t cover the entire patio doors for the balcony which overlooks the outdoor seating for the restaurant, so if you want to get changed in the room you can easily give restauranteurs a flash! The aforementioned bathroom isn’t very clean, it’s very dated and could do with refurbing to be fit for purpose The view of the lake is interrupted by a major A road in front of your room which stays busy until the late hours. Ear plugs are provided but I’d suggest triple glazing would be better! Walls in the building are paper thin, so those earplugs come in handy even if the traffic noise doesn’t bother you All the hallway lights are turned off on timers which is eerie and unwelcoming Has potential to be very good, owner needs to have a good hard look at the property and refresh it for modern needs

This hotel is one I would not return to and would not recommend to a friend or family member. The staff leave a lot to be desired, starting with the fact that they only speak French; they made no effort to be friendly. The service was bad. To use the WiFi, they give you a password that is only good for 24 hours for a single guest; my wife could not use it. When I went to ask for something at the reception, as the man in charge didn't understand me, the grey-haired man left me disrespectfully talking to myself.

1) There was no air-conditioning in the room; it was very hot (35 degrees) so the fan provided was not sufficient. Rough time sleeping in all honesty. 2) The rooms were quite dated… we read this comment on bookings.com from another member but thought it was many years ago so the hotel must have updated, however this is not the case. The fan was not working in the bathroom. Very small shower cubicle, and could not reach the shower holder which was 6 feet up, so had to hold by hand. 3) No kettle provided in the room (this was also not stated in the room amenities but would have been a good addition considering it was three star) so could not make a nice cup of tea whenever we fancy it. 4) No lights in the corridor of the rooms. Not very inviting.

1) Opposite lake Geneva, plenty of free parking along the lake. A few nearby restaurants (an excellent pizza take-away place 5 min from the hotel) which is open until 10pm! 2) Large room; 3) Friendly staff who were willing for us to amend our booking on the day; 4) Lift to the room available.

Everything about this hotel was superb. The location of the hotel and free parking opposite. The restaurant food and service was excellent. Room was spotless, fresh, cleaned every day, toiletries provided. The staff and owner went out of their way to make sure that you had everything you needed. Close to the lake and superior room had lake side views. Plenty to see and visit, lovely walks into the centre of Evian Les Baines. Would definitely recommend a visit to this delightful hotel.
