Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaParking was off site a short walk from the hotel. Trying to drop off bags is difficult as hotel is located in an area with not much street parking. But in saying that when we did find a street park the staff came to get our bags. Great service.
Great location. Staff were excellent. Good restaurant recommendations.

Belgium- Private car parking ca. 5 mts away from the hotel (valet car parking is extra). - Older, very small led tv, not suited for mirror viewing in combination with smartphone. Durng our stay, the ethernet connection with the french tv channels failed (foreign channels accessible). Viewing from the bed could not be enjoyed - Spacious room and bathroom, but disproportionate layout: oversized bathroom, but hardly any space in the bedroom to put a laptop and/or documents. too few contact points for digital equipment. -The second morning, I was served bad (over-fermented) orange juice at breakfast; it was replaced without an apology. In my view not acceptable on this level.
Hotel is situated at both sides of the rue des Jacobins, resp. in a renovated 19th. Century mansion and in the former branch offfice of the National Bank – central location, close to the railway station / Cathedral / Jules Verne circuit, … Friendly, warm, helpful reception on arrival. Spacious room with sufficient storage; interior in Neo-classical style. Very spacious bathroom with mosaic tiled shower and large mirror with adjustable ambient light. Extensive range of spa facilities and 'on demand' services. Breakfast is either room service or served in the breakfast room. Guests must tick their choice in advance on a form and submit this to the reception.

United KingdomThe car park was several hundred metres away and you have to collect a remote control first to open the garage door. On the evening of arrival there was one receptionist visible and nobody else. We had to fill in a questionnaire on arrival to choose our breakfast. In the morning there was one person on reception and one serving breakfast. It was more like an up-market B&B than a 5 star hotel.
The room was spacious, comfortable, quiet and well equipped.

United KingdomThe location was good and the staff very helpful. We did the valet parking which worked really well. The spa was outstanding and definitely worth doing. it was state of art and a great way to spend a relaxing couple of hours. Amien was a great place to end our tour of France and a very easy 1.5 hours drive to Calais to get the shuttle back to the UK.

United KingdomWe stayed in a suite for 4 people which was of a good size and very clean but some things needed maintenance. The shutters and blackout curtains didn't cover totally the window areas - so lots of light came though early morning. There had clearly been a leak from the bathroom above that seemed to have happened many months ago - and needed re-plastering/decorating. Taps over basins were loose and was difficult to draw cold water. We stayed in hot weather and although the room information advised there was a cooling system - this didn't seem to be as efficient as air conditioning would be. Breakfast choices were good but this is first time in a 5* hotel that we have been asked to order before 8pm the night before. The hotel mentions it's 'green' credentials - which is admirable if this can be achieved - but it seems at odds with a suite room that has a large (in fact it was an enormous!!) stone bath and a sauna. The hotel is good (and we didn't see or use the spa facilities) so it may be that these facilities were excellent and the basis for obtaining a 5* rating for the hotel - but I think 5* is a little overrated for the rooms and other facilities that we used.
Owners and staff very helpful and pleasant. Help with the luggage was great. Provided an iron & ironing board. Breakfast provided a good selection of choices available.
