Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThe hotel is a four-story walk-up, no elevator. So if you are travelling with heavy bags and you aren't a marathon runner, be sure to insist on a room on the first or second floor. The concierge actually had a vacant room on the second floor, but she couldn't find the key (!). So we lugged our stuff up five flights of stairs. Not so terrible, but just so you know.
I have very little to say about this hotel. We arrived in the evening and left early (before breakfast) the next morning. What we saw of it was fine, but we never used any of the facilities nor did we have any real interaction with the staff.

SpainA bit too expensive for what was offered. The room was tiny, looked bigger on the pictures. breakfast quite simple.
The location was great. Also the staff. The girl with British accent at the reception was super nice to us and fixed a gluten free breakfast for my boyfriend. It was clean.

UkraineEven though the hotel is advertised as non-smoking, there was a lingering strong smell of cigarettes in my room. Overnight my clothes became saturated with the smell of nicotine, it was terrible. Very uncomfortable bed - short mattress, I had to sleep almost diagonally. Breakfast was not worth the 12 euros I paid, for this money it is better to buy food in a supermarket.
Great location. The nearest metro is a 5-minute walk - very convenient connection to Saint-Charles railway station, Old Port is a 15-minutes walk. The double-room was quite cramped, but quite comfortable for one night. There are no dark curtains on the window, but there are external wooden old-style blinds, they save from morning light and noise from the street. The hotel does not have an elevator, be prepared to walk up a spiral staircase with your luggage)))

Czech RepublicDuring the weekend there is a very loud techno party. You need to give them a 50 euro deposit. There is no fridge / no cattle / no wine opener - bring your own.
The location is fairly central and close to train station

IrelandThe stairs were fine for us, but were many and narrow, we did not see a lift so im almost sure there wasnt one and give the age and authenticity of the building hardly surprising as it would have ruined the feel of this lovely house. However if you have mobility issues, this might be a problem for you. The bed moved from the wall and wasnt stabilised this was a very small thing, we had one pillow each and they were very flat but perhaps this was a cultural thing? there was one spare, just as flat but we didnt spot it until we were leaving. Shower pressure could have been better and the hot water ran out after my sister had her shower at 9:40 which made me think it wasnt an electric shower - so have your shower early lol The photos i seen did depict a bigger room but its always hard to guess what size the room is from photos and which one you will get.
The staff were so accommodating and friendly, even let us have our room early which allowed us to unpack and have a nap before we went out to eat and attend a match at the Velodrome. it was very close to the station where we could get the bus, train or metro. we were easily able to access the stadium in a ten minute metro journey and a very short walk to it thereafter. Everywhere was clean and the room was small but clean with a nice bathroom. This was a really ecclective boutique hotel, very quaint and quirky in decor we loved that. IT is in an old french building and so that should be remembered but also it added to the charm! The breakfast was just delicious!!!

SpainThe shower being in the middle of the bedroom could have used a durable mat to prevent water from spreading across the floor.

FranceOne bedlamp did not work and the room and bed was rather small for two - big French city type of small so no surprises there. However it was high up and tucked away so we preferred it to a bigger one on the ground floor they would have offered for the same money. I guess when it's more busy, it will be less intimate and might get noisy. Not a problem at this time of year!
Cosy, charming and calm. Smell of fresh paint. Rather copious and tasty breakfast with view on leafy garden - unfortunately it was raining, otherwise it would have been an even better relaxing breakfast. Happy to return on another occasion.

United KingdomThe Aircon was a little tricky to use, my husband had to take a cover off to find an on button. Also, they only provided 1 pillow each.
The breakfast was delicious but pricey at €12 pp. Additionally the lady running the breakfast had no idea what decaff coffee was.

United KingdomAir conditioning was tricky to use, toilet kept running - we had to jimmy it to make it stop and shower was leaking. Noisy with window open, but fine once we got the aircon to work and didn’t need it open. The accommodation does let you know but a reminder that there’s no lift and many steps - especially up to the top floor :).
Friendly staff, about 20 minutes walk from the old port (downhill!), bed was very comfortable. Hidden garden behind the hotel, lovely for brunch and sitting reading;)

United KingdomThe bedroom was a bit small, but the bathroom was extremely small. As an average-sized person, I found it a squeeze to get to the toilet, but my partner who is over 6 foot really struggled. There was also no hairdryer installed in the bathroom, even though the wires were already installed for it, and there was only one hairdryer at reception which was being used by another guest. The toilet seat was also wonky when we arrived and broke after a day. The aircon also did not seem to work, although that wasn't a huge problem for April temperatures. The TV only had access to a couple of French channels and was stuck in a corner of the room that could only be seen by one person on one side of the bed. You could also hear the sound of other guests climbing up the stairs and opening/shutting their doors. It was a pleasant stay but I think we expected a bit more from a 'boutique' hotel.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave good recommendations as to where to eat in Marseille, and let us leave our bags with them after we checked out and before we headed to the airport. The location was also great for us - a short walk from the train station and to the old port. There were also lots of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets nearby. The free WiFi was appreciated, and it was good to have a 24hr reception. Overall, it was not bad value.

TurkeyWe stayed in a 4-person family room. Double bed was OK but the twin beds were very soft and not comfortable. Furniture and the overall decoration were very old.
Convenient location. Not in the middle of the city but 15 minutes walk to the Vieux Port (Old Port) or 10 minutes walk to the train station. It is in a quiet area. Breakfast was very good compared to similar level of hotels.
